00:00Akin ka na lang, akin ka na lang,
00:06Ang dinara sa, sa araw-araw
00:15I always loved to sing.
00:17My family has been so music-oriented.
00:19I think at an early age,
00:21I already knew that singing was something
00:24that I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
00:28And I'm just very blessed and I'm super grateful
00:31to have such a supportive family
00:34just backing me up with that dream.
00:38I started in the industry or just my career
00:42joining a lot of singing competitions.
00:44A lot of them, especially the major ones,
00:46the major ones on TV, I didn't win.
00:49But I am happy that despite that,
00:52I was still given opportunities to put myself out there
00:57and just a spot in the industry, I guess.
01:00Right now, I'm already in my 12th year in the industry
01:03and I'm just really, really happy.
01:05I feel continuing to grow as an artist
01:08and just being hungry for what else I can offer
01:12also to everyone.
01:14I'm just really blessed to be able to even reach
01:18more than 10 years and just to still be in that position
01:22to also share music and spread OPM everywhere.
01:25I think favorite would be an understatement.
01:30This song is one of the most important songs for me
01:36because I feel like that's really what started my,
01:40what really built my name in the industry.
01:42And this is an original song that I was given the honor
01:46of interpreting back in 2014.
01:49This is a song called, Akin Ka Na Lang.
01:51And it's written by a good friend of mine, Kiko Salazar.
01:55But if it wasn't, if it weren't for this song,
01:58I feel like I wouldn't really grow as an artist
02:01just because this also molded me to where I am
02:05and what I am today as a singer.
02:07And just the position also that I've been blessed with
02:12as well.
02:13And I'm just super happy because so many people
02:15have just been loving it ever since the beginning.
02:18And I'm so happy to also still know that
02:20a lot of people still play it in their,
02:23just play it in their just daily routines
02:26despite it being released a while back.

02:57What are the top things that are always in your handbag?
03:00Always in my handbag?
03:01Keys, house keys, my phone, sanitizer.
03:06Right now, the vaccine card.
03:09And I always have, oh, my AirPods.
03:12I always have my AirPods just because sometimes
03:14when I'm out by myself and just doing errands,
03:17I like to just have background music
03:19to when I'm walking or just working.
03:22What are your five desert island must-haves?
03:25Desert island must-haves, okay.
03:27I'll remember, hopefully, to bring, of course, a phone
03:31so that I can take pictures and just capture the memory.
03:35I think a water bottle, I feel like that's important
03:37because I might be dehydrated.
03:39Another would be maybe a jacket.
03:45I don't know, maybe to keep me,
03:47because I heard that the desert can also become very cold,
03:50especially at night, so I'll try to remember to bring that.
03:54A jacket or a blanket, either one of those.
03:57Another would be maybe I'll pack some snacks.
04:00I'll try to remember to pack snacks.
04:02Good idea.

04:09Oh, a battery pack for my phone
04:12in case I get into trouble.
04:14What is a makeup item that you always need to use?
04:18I am actually a big lipstick person
04:21because I feel like with a lipstick,
04:23especially the ones that are multi-purpose,
04:25you could use it not just as a lipstick
04:27but also as a blush and eyeshadow.
04:29And sometimes when I'm not putting on makeup,
04:32I can look very pale,
04:34so I like to just have that makeup tool
04:38to just add some color into my face,
04:41regardless if I'm very well-made
04:46or just on a very simple day.
04:49What's currently on repeat on your playlist songs?
04:53I actually don't have a playlist,
04:54but right now, songs that are stuck in my head
04:58have been the songs on TikTok,
05:01like The Left and Right by Charlie Puth,
05:04and I think that's the major one.
05:06The very major one is that one by Charlie Puth.
05:09What is your current favorite song of your own?
05:13Maybe something that's been on your mind.
05:15I was actually able to put out
05:16a lot of songs throughout the years,
05:18but oh, this is one of my favorites,
05:21just because also during the pandemic,
05:23I was able to put out an EP of my own,
05:26five original songs, so this is called Signature.
05:28I was also able to put out an EP
05:32or a mini album with my husband,
05:34and these are four original tracks
05:37that we decided to kind of like
05:40become the soundtrack of our wedding,
05:43and there's this one song that we wrote together.
05:47It's called Luna.
05:48In other languages, it means moon.
05:50The reason why this song is called Luna
05:52because it's also in honor of our puppy
05:56that passed away, unfortunately, gone too soon.
06:01This is actually a duet,
06:02but I'll try to sing it for everyone by myself,
06:04hopefully next time with my husband,
