00:07Hi, I'm Ali from Gulf News and today I'm at Dubai Mall.

00:11We are here to see how volunteers and Dubai Police are playing a vital role to ensure the community members comply with the precautionary measures to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

00:22Please keep moving on.

00:24This is for your own safety and social distance. You have to wear your mask. Thank you.

00:29Volunteers of Dubai Police are now preparing to make their checks inside the mall to see if people comply with the precautionary measures.

00:43We're here for the safety of everyone. We're here to make sure everyone is safe.

00:49We are for the service of people.

00:51All we do here is we advise people to make sure they wear their masks properly and to make sure they maintain physical distance.

01:00We expect two types of responses. The first is when we ask them to put the mask up.

01:05Some people, they respond immediately by putting the mask up. They thank us. This is one thing that makes us really happy.

01:10The second is people, when they look at us, they see that, you know, we are wearing the logo of Dubai Police.

01:17They feel scared. So the first thing we do is we tell them that we are here for their safety.

01:21We're here to advise them and to spread happiness, to spread positivity.

01:25The doors are open for everyone. But at the same time, there are rules which everyone must follow.

01:31And the rules are put in place to make sure everyone stays happy and safe.

01:35Dubai UAE is a tourist nation and there are so many different people from different parts of the world.

01:42So we tend to approach them. It's not much of challenges, but in our own best ability, we approach them to tell them what is necessary to keep them safe.

01:51Together, we can beat COVID-19.

01:54Please follow safety measures to stop COVID-19.

01:57The number of volunteers in the malls have reached 2,432 volunteers.

02:01This number is a big number and we really are proud of this number.

02:06Not because only its significance, but it shows the number of people whom we have invested in.

02:11Those people have adopted the culture of looking after the measures against COVID-19.

02:16And appear to apply those measures on themselves and on their social circle, even when they are not volunteering with the police.

02:22I see these volunteer people. They are always guiding people to wear the mask, to protect ourselves from Corona.

02:30And I just would like to thank them so, so, so much for this.

02:35They are helping a lot of people to wear the mask, to protect us. Thank you so much.

02:41To buy actually is very nice. You just have to wear a mask and then you can travel and enjoy the places here and do everything you want to do.

02:52Despite the massive vaccination campaign in the country, people should be aware that precautionary measures are key factors to curb COVID-19.
