00:00So, the Mets and the Dodgers seem to have a little thing going.
00:05Obviously, the Dodgers are the champs, they spend the most money, they're loaded.
00:10And then this guy Alvarez is talking, we're better than the Dodgers, we have a better
00:15lineup and they have Soto now.
00:18Is there a real, you know, rivalry, war, something brewing between these two clubs or could the
00:23Dodgers roll their eyes and care less?
00:26I think right now the Dodgers roll their eyes and care less, Scott.
00:29Now, you know, that's the great thing about sports though, isn't it?
00:33It's like, it'll become a rivalry when they play this year if the Mets go out and whack
00:37them.
00:38I mean, all this talk in the spring is fine, but, you know, I mean, the Mets haven't been
00:43able to get past the Dodgers the last few years.
00:45I mean, the Dodgers obviously are the kings of the mountain, very talented, so, you know,
00:50Mets can say what they want, Alvarez can say what he wants, but, you know, bottom line
00:54is put your money where your mouth is.
00:57When you play the Dodgers, you got to beat them and you got to be there in October, you
01:01got to get past them in October.
01:03If you do, then that's the time to talk.
01:06Were you surprised at the deal that Alonzo accepted?
01:10Oh my gosh, I thought the only thing missing in that deal is there a clause that says he
01:15also has to carry Juan Soto's bags?
01:17Jeez.
01:18There is, actually.
01:19There is.
01:20He's having made it public.
01:24Oh my.
01:25I mean, they handed the keys to the castle to Juan Soto, and it'll be interesting how
01:29that whole dynamic is this year, because obviously, you know, Alonzo's been one of the guys, if
01:34not the guy who is Mr. Met, you know, kind of the representative of the organization
01:39the last few years, and I mean, they backed up the Briggs truck to Soto, and not only
01:44did they give him the money, but, oh my gosh, all those extras, like, oh, we'll give your
01:49family a suite for the entire year.
01:51Oh, yeah.
01:52We'll give your family security.
01:53You know, we'll have security around your family.
01:56It's like, you're giving him $700 million.
01:58He can't maybe buy a suite of his own with $700 million?
02:01I mean, the way they treated Soto, it'll be interesting to see, you know, Alonzo had to
02:07come crawling back for money that he thought he was going to do a lot better than, so it'll
02:12be interesting to see.
02:13You know, I mean, Pete Alonzo, he's a good guy, and I think a good teammate, and I think
02:19he'll make it work, but it'll be interesting to see the dynamic and see if Alonzo's at
02:23all bent out of shape, or if not in the spring, if he gets so as the season goes along.
02:29I got 30 seconds, respectfully.
02:31Acuna's back and ready to roll with the Braves, it looks like.
02:35That's going to be fun to see.
02:38No doubt about it.
02:39He's going to be one of the best players in the game, and, you know, boy, when he tore
02:42his second knee up, you know, a couple years ago, the one knee went, now this one, hopefully
02:46he still has his legs under him, he still has his wheels, because he's obviously a multi-threat.
02:51Home runs, power average, stealing bases, and he helps make the Braves go, and Braves
02:57will be back this year.
02:58They'll be back among the contenders as well.
03:00That's a great organization.
