00:00Since Russia's war with Ukraine, around 8,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in London
00:07under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. And with President Trump now advocating for negotiations
00:14that could potentially allow Russia to claim Ukrainian territory, Sadiq Khan also took
00:20the opportunity to send a message of support to Ukrainians living here in London.
00:26I've been speaking to Londoners who came to our great city from Ukraine over the last
00:32two and a half years. Let me be frank, some are a bit nervous in relation to a deal being
00:38done that doesn't involve President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people. I'm reassured by
00:44what Prime Minister Kirstame and Foreign Secretary David Lammy have said, but also by what NATO
00:48and the European allies have said, that it's really important to involve the Ukrainian
00:52people and President Zelensky in any deal done between Putin and Ukraine.
00:59Well, look, let's wait and see in relation to how this resolves itself. There is a conference
01:05taking place in Munich. The Vice President will be there. The Foreign Secretary is meeting
01:10with the Secretary of State. It's really important for European allies, NATO, the USA, to work
01:15with President Zelensky to make sure we get a resolution to this war that's now been taking
01:21place for almost three years, but also to remind ourselves that nobody wants a bully
01:27and an invader to win.
