00:00The Qasr al-Watan in Abu Dhabi is truly a sight to behold.
00:24Built as a presidential palace to host state visits and official ceremonies, the landmark
00:30has also been open to visitors since 2019.
00:33The architectural beauty of the palace is well known.
00:38What many people do not know of are the gems housed inside.
00:43There are a number of valuable early manuscripts worth a much closer look, like early pictures
00:49of the Kaaba or a book with illustrations by Charles Darwin.
00:55Another hall features a series of presidential gifts, including intricate sculptures, glittering
01:01medals and shiny suits of armor.
01:05Visitors can also get a glimpse of presidential banquet rooms and meeting halls, or cap off
01:10their visits with a spectacular light and sound show put up on the palace façade on
01:15weekend evenings.
01:17Be sure to come by if you're looking for a taste of Arabian heritage and grandeur.
