The ringleader of the ‘Angels of Death’ gang was shocked when police raided his Dubai villa and arrested him this week, an official told Gulf News on Tuesday. The announcement of the arrest of Ridouan Taghi — described as “the Netherland’s most dangerous man” — was made on Monday, with Dutch police praising their Dubai counterparts for their cooperation.

00:00Recently Dubai police arrested the most dangerous criminal and the most wanted
00:05criminal in Netherlands and Europe. His name was Radwan Taji. He's the most
00:10wanted criminal in Netherlands for a string of assassinations and murders and
00:16drug trafficking to Europe. He was wanted for years by Netherlands and by Europe
00:23even Africa because he used to traffic the drugs especially cocaine from Africa
00:30to Europe. He was arrested recently in Dubai after a cooperation between Dubai
00:36police and Netherlands authority. Radwan Taji entered the country in 2016 and he
00:43entered the country with a different ID but with a real passport and a valid
00:47visa. Until recently the Dutch authority in cooperation with Dubai police they
00:52identified the location of Taji in the UAE. Dubai police after checking hundreds
00:58of data and clips using surveillance cameras and their advanced technology
01:03with face recognition and using the IUN program security program that identify
01:10anybody in the city with face recognition they managed to identify the
01:15location of Taji. He was staying in a villa in a residential place in Dubai.
01:20According to Brigadier Jamal Jallaf, director of a criminal investigation
01:24department in Dubai police, Taji was living in a villa, the curtains were down
01:29and there was no lights coming from the villa. He kept his profile so
01:35low in the city that nobody even know anything about him. There is no purchases
01:41with his name, nothing. He kept his profile low in the city until recently.
01:48After five days of investigation by Dubai police they identified him, his
01:53location and they raided the villa with a special squad. Dubai police said that
02:00Taji didn't resist the arrest and he immediately surrendered and actually he
02:04was shocked when Dubai police raided the villa because he didn't expect that he
02:10will be caught at the end after years of hunting from police departments in
