00:00Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the reveals on The Masked
00:11Singer that we're still trying to wrap our heads around.
00:13Who is it?
00:14What's going on?
00:15Who is it?
00:16I'm really confused.
00:17Is there a body inside there?
00:18Number 30, Nick Cannon as Bulldog.
00:21During the fifth season, actress and comedian Niecy Nash stepped in for hosting duties after
00:25Nick Cannon tested positive for COVID.
00:28In a season full of surprises, during the fifth week, a new wildcard contestant was
00:32thrown into the mix, Bulldog.
00:34All I wanna say is when you're with me, you brighten up my day.
00:40Who is that?
00:42Bulldog sang Candy Girl by New Edition, leaving all of the panel totally barking up the wrong
00:47tree.
00:48They threw out guesses like Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, and Eddie Murphy.
00:51Candy girl, you're all my world, you're everything, you're everything, you're everything to me.
01:00Yet in a twist of events, it was Nash who called for this wildcard to be unmasked.
01:04Well, you can't say Cannon doesn't know how to make an entrance, or re-entrance, we should
01:08say.
01:09Number 29, rumor Willis as Lion.
01:12Born to two big-name Hollywood stars, talent runs deep in Willis' blood.
01:17But on The Masked Singer, she wanted to step out of her nepo-baby shadow and showcase her
01:21true self.
01:22Everybody needs a chance, a chance to check out the new me, you're the only one who's
01:32here.
01:33With five jaw-dropping performances, she revealed her incredible range.
01:36Still, the panel could not sink their claws into the right identity, throwing out names
01:41like Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, and Hailee Steinfeld.
01:44One even insisted the performer had to be a professional singer.
01:59When Lion's time on the show ended sooner than we thought, we were shocked.
02:03Not just by the elimination, but also by the reveal.
02:06Just like the judges, nobody saw this one coming.
02:08I knew how to dance, and everybody kind of figured out that I could do that, but I wanted
02:13everyone to know that I can sing, too.
02:21Number 28, Chris Daughtry as Rottweiler.
02:24This season two contestant really had the panel on their toes.
02:38Every week, he blew everyone away with his amazing voice, nailing songs like Holland
02:42Notes' Man Eater, Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved, and Mr. Brightside by The Killers.
02:47By the time he got to see us alive in the finals, the panel was throwing out names like
02:51Darren Criss, Jason Mraz, and Dave Franco.
02:54Usually, singers struggle to mask their voices, but this guy kept everyone guessing with his
02:59versatility.
03:02Honestly, he sang most of those songs just as well, if not better than the originals.
03:14It is wild that the panel never even came close to guessing his name.
03:26Number 27, Drew Carey as Llama.
03:29Wayne Brady almost outfoxed everyone during his time on the series, but Carey's performance
03:33as Llama really pulled the wool over the panel's eyes.
03:40He's more known for his acting and comedy than singing, yet he managed to blend both
03:50for two unforgettable and unbelievably fun performances.
03:54Even with hints like me, me, me, me, and thinking on my feet, nobody figured out that Carey
03:58was under the mask.
04:06For their final guesses, they tossed around a bunch of names, including Adam Carolla,
04:11Kelsey Grammer, Joel McHale, Johnny Knoxville, and Woody Harrelson.
04:15So you could see their surprise when the truth was unmasked.
04:25Number 26, Vanessa Hutchins as Goldfish.
04:29If we hadn't been watching The Masked Singer, we would have probably guessed this one instantly.
04:33Come on, her first song was clearly a nod to her high school musical days.
04:40However, Vanessa Hutchins had been guessed so many times before that this felt like another
04:49red herring.
04:50The show allowed Hutchins to break free of her most recognizable role and show audiences
04:54just how talented she is.
05:07Rita and Jenny had no doubt in their minds that this was indeed Hutchins, but Robin opted
05:12for Hilary Duff, while Ken guessed Nicole Scherzinger, who had been absent that season.
05:16Well, two out of four ain't bad.
05:23Number 25, Mark Sanchez as Baby Alien.
05:27You might not have noticed Baby Alien's voice much because that costume was just so freaking
05:31cute.
05:40His kinda-European accent and funny showmanship totally threw us for a loop.
05:44These stars can really surprise us with their hidden skills, and this one was no different.
06:00The guesses from the panel were all over the place, from Triumph the insult comic dog to
06:04David Schwimmer.
06:06Surprisingly, neither of those were Ken's guesses.
06:08With some final picks like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jeff Dunham, no one got anywhere near
06:13the NFL quarterback underneath.
06:15Hilariously, the reveal took extra time, as it took a moment to separate Baby Alien from
06:19the man inside.
06:28Number 24, Chris Jericho as Bride.
06:31Chris Jericho wears many hats.
06:33Wrestler, musician, actor, podcaster, author, and in 2022, bride.
06:39While he couldn't really disguise the rock edge in his voice, Jericho wasn't even on
06:43the panel's radar, or ours either.
06:53Although we're guessing there are a few hardcore fans who would recognize that growl anywhere.
06:59Nicole was arguably the closest with her guess, thinking he might be Red Rocker Sammy Hagar.
07:04Looking back, his unique voice and penchant for entertaining really stand out.
07:15His reveal was just as fun as his performances, with Jericho cracking jokes about his character
07:20and his elimination.
07:21Hey, he could have been a Bridezilla about it all.
07:32Number 23, Linda Blair as Scarecrow.
07:35Actress Linda Blair had a very short-lived Masked Singer experience.
07:39And no, not because she was first voted off.
07:41She actually chose to bow out herself.
07:56After a fun performance of Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band, we thought Scarecrow was
08:00going to stick around for a while.
08:01But Linda shared that while she enjoyed her time on stage, the show was becoming too much
08:05of a commitment, and was pulling her away from her other priorities.
08:16We will never forget the judges' shocked faces when that mask first came off.
08:20And at least she used her platform for a good cause.
08:23It was a surprising but classy exit.
08:34Number 22, Penn & Teller as Hydra.
08:37Coming out in a three-headed costume definitely added to the illusion of this character.
08:53Was it one person with a knack for voices?
08:55Two voices pretending to have a third?
08:57Or a three-person act?
08:59Eventually, we figured it was probably a duo.
09:02However, Penn & Teller didn't come to mind because while Penn's voice is recognizable,
09:07Teller usually remained silent.
09:08Here though, he was not only singing but also putting on multiple voices.
09:23Guest panelist Nicole Byer was the only one who guessed correctly during their final round.
09:28Fooling the rest of the panel is perhaps one of their greatest tricks yet.
09:42Number 21, Donnie Wahlberg as Cloodledue.
09:45The fifth season of The Masked Singer spiced things up and introduced Cloodledue.
09:58A combination of a rooster and a court jester, Cloodledue would appear and provide viewers
10:03extra clues about the contestants.
10:05He eventually took to the stage himself, singing Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison.
10:17Guesses ranged from Kevin James to Jamie Foxx to Akon.
10:21But the truth ended up being far more surprising.
10:24It was actually Donnie Wahlberg, who also happens to be panelist Jenny McCarthy's husband.
10:35The fact that she didn't manage to guess her own partner is just hilarious and yes,
10:40she was embarrassed about it.
10:42Number 20, Rudy Giuliani as Jack in the Box.
10:45This performer didn't last long but he sure left an impression.
10:49Jack in the Box sang just one song, George Thorogood and the Destroyers' Bad to the
10:53Bone.
10:54Unfortunately, the celebrity drummed up quite a bit of controversy, and his reveal was leaked
11:03before the episode had a chance to air.
11:05It was President Donald Trump's personal attorney and ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
11:24Giuliani is quite a contentious figure owing to his involvement in the Trump administration.
11:29The reveal caused an upset Ken Jeong to leave the set, with Robin Thicke following him.
11:34Even though it was spoiled beforehand, the unmasking of Rudy Giuliani was quite a shock
11:39to the system.
11:41Number 19, Kelly Osbourne as Ladybug.
11:44Known for her singing, fashion and talk show appearances, not to mention her famous parents,
11:49Kelly Osbourne is a household name.
11:51That's why it was so wild that the panel didn't realize she was Ladybug.
11:55The bright red insect appeared in the second season, performing four songs in total, Smackdown
12:01included, before getting eliminated in week six.
12:12For their final guesses, Robin, guest panelist Triumph and Ken all guessed Lindsay Lohan.
12:17Jenny, for her part, went with Paris Jackson, while Nicole guessed Jamie Lynn Spears.
12:22Imagine their surprise when the truth was revealed.
12:31Osbourne's fake southern accent certainly helped throw them and lots of folks watching
12:36off the scent.
12:37Hey, no one said fake voices were against the rules.
12:40Number 18, Khloe Kim as Jellyfish.
12:43It's always a nice surprise when non-singers go far.
12:46Jellyfish stunned everyone in season four.
12:49She made it all the way to the penultimate episode and even won week nine with a stunning
12:54rendition of Dua Lipa's Don't Start Now.
13:04There were even a few good clues, like the four X's on the tic-tac-toe board representing
13:08X Games gold medals.
13:10Well, she can add the masked singer to her long list of accomplishments, as this was
13:15Olympic gold medalist, snowboarder Khloe Kim.
13:30The nods towards Jellyfish's athleticism clued in Ken Jeong and guest panelist Craig
13:34Robinson, both of whom made correct guesses in the end.
13:38Number 17, Larry the Cable Guy as Baby.
13:42Like Khloe Kim, the reveal of Larry the Cable Guy was unexpected owing to his surprising
13:47talent as a singer.
13:49As Baby, he notably performed a decent rendition of Barry White's You're the First, The Last,
13:54My Everything, which likely threw the panel off for good.
14:04In fact, Ken Jeong once falsely identified Larry the Cable Guy as Banana back in season
14:09three.
14:10To make things even funnier, Robin Thicke initially thought that he was another contestant
14:13on Baby's season, Mallard.
14:25Poor guys were so close and yet so far.
14:28For Baby, Jeong ultimately went with Gordon Ramsay and Thicke with Chuck Norris.
14:33Larry the Cable Guy was clearly on their minds, but they just couldn't figure him out as
14:38the giant baby.
14:53Number 16, Tom Bergeron as Taco.
14:56Tom Bergeron is an iconic television host, and millions of people have been hearing his
15:01voice for years.
15:02It's so recognizable that we should have pegged it instantly.
15:13There were even a few obvious clues like the VHS tapes representing America's Funniest
15:17Home Videos.
15:18Instead, Taco's identity came as quite a surprise.
15:22Both Robin and Ken ultimately guessed Martin Short, prompting the latter to put his hands
15:26on his head upon the reveal.
15:43Even Bergeron seemed flabbergasted that no one correctly figured him out, as nearly all
15:48the panelists were friends or associates.
15:50Put simply, the reveal of Tom Bergeron was just a whirlwind of confusion.
16:01Number 15, Victor Oladipo as Thingamajig.
16:04Clearly athletes also make for pretty darn good singers.
16:07Thingamajig went far in season two, blowing us away with his performances and eventually
16:12placing fifth.
16:14He even tackled a few singers whose tracks are not easy to nail, including Michael Buble,
16:19John Legend, and Bing Crosby.
16:27And yes, he more than held his own throughout the competition.
16:30It all contributed to making the eventual unmasking extra jaw-dropping.
16:34Thingamajig wasn't mainly a professional singer, as some viewers had maybe assumed,
16:39but basketball player Victor Oladipo.
16:54Ken Jeong was talented enough to get it right, but pretty much everyone else was totally
16:59surprised, and for very good reason.
17:02Those who want to hear more of Oladipo's stellar voice should check out his albums
17:05though.
17:13Number 14, Jackie Evancho as Kitty.
17:17Jackie Evancho became a household name when she competed on the fifth season of America's
17:21Got Talent at just 10 years old.
17:30This in turn helped launch her successful music career, which includes the platinum-selling
17:34EP Oh Holy Night and several successful albums.
17:38She did well as Kitty on the Masked Singer, slaying songs like It's All Coming Back
17:42to Me Now and finishing in fifth place, and she stumped everybody.
17:53No one had her identity figured out in the end.
17:56Even Nick Cannon, who got to know her when he was hosting America's Got Talent, seemed
18:00genuinely taken aback.
18:14If not even he could predict the celebrity under the mask, viewers at home had absolutely
18:19no chance.
18:20Number 13, Bret Michaels as Banana.
18:23We mentioned Banana before, as Ken Jeong thought he was Larry the Cable Guy.
18:27Well, as you know, he was way off.
18:38Banana was not a comedian, but professional singer Bret Michaels, who is primarily known
18:43as the frontman of Poison.
18:45But what's surprising about this reveal is arguably how unsurprising it was.
18:51Even but Ken Jeong correctly guessed Bret Michaels, with guest panelist Sharon Osbourne
18:55fully convinced it was him under the mask.
19:09Maybe the clues were too obvious, or maybe his voice is simply too recognizable.
19:13It almost made it hard to believe it was actually him, considering the masked singer is usually
19:17better at concealing singers' identities.
19:21Number 12, Gladys Knight as Bee.
19:23Like Bret Michaels, Gladys Knight was pegged by pretty much everyone.
19:32Once again, Ken Jeong was the only panelist to make an incorrect final guess, as he went
19:37with Anita Baker.
19:38So sure, maybe the reveal itself wasn't all that surprising.
19:42But if you ask us, the sheer mythical quality of Gladys Knight herself made it an unmasking
19:47for the books.
19:49Indeed, the masked singer got themselves a real legend.
20:04The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has too many amazing accomplishments to even list,
20:09including multiple Grammys and number one singles.
20:12It was a huge boon to the show's popularity and credibility, proving that the producers
20:17could get the big names.
20:27Number 11, Wiz Khalifa as Chameleon.
20:30The masked singer needed a hip-hop star, and Chameleon was its answer.
20:39Placing third, the Chameleon wowed both the audience and the judges with strong performances
20:43of various hip-hop classics, including Drop It Like It's Hot and Gangsta's Paradise.
20:54The final guesses ranged between Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa, and the latter
20:59was correctly guessed by Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger.
21:03Perhaps it didn't come as a huge shock given the correct guesses, but Wiz remains one of
21:07the biggest names the show has ever revealed.
21:19The recipient of three platinum-selling albums and four top ten singles, Wiz is a bona fide
21:25rap superstar.
21:27Number 10, T-Pain as Monster.
21:29Despite being a prominent R&B artist, T-Pain surprised everyone with a number of popular
21:34rock and pop songs.
21:44These included Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, Lenny Kravitz's American Woman, and Sam Smith's
21:49Stay With Me.
21:59Perhaps this, combined with the lack of a signature auto-tune, is what made the eventual
22:03T-Pain reveal so unpredictable.
22:06In fact, none of the judges correctly assumed T-Pain's identity, with all five guessing
22:10someone different, including Jamie Foxx and Michael Vick.
22:14T-Pain ended up winning as the monster, and it concluded the show's first season on an
22:19excellent note.
22:31The masked singer proved that it had the capabilities to shock and surprise millions.
22:37Number 9, Ninja as Ice Cream.
22:46Video game streamer Ninja appeared in one episode of the second season as Ice Cream.
22:51He performed Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus's Old Town Road, and pulled out Devo's Whip
22:56It during the SmackDown with Ladybug.
23:02Unfortunately, both of his performances proved lackluster, and he was the first person of
23:09the group sent home.
23:11His clue package had various references to gaming, leading Ken Jeong to guess PewDiePie.
23:22It was the closest anyone would get, as no one was expecting megastar Twitch streamer
23:28Ninja.
23:29We're sure some of the younger viewers were able to identify him, especially with the
23:33helpful Karate Chop clue.
23:40But the rest of us were as flabbergasted as the judges.
23:44Number 8, Logan Paul as Grandpa Monster.
23:47Despite being the Grandpa Monster, it was very obvious that someone young was underneath
23:51the costume owing to their wild energy.
23:59In fact, Logan Paul is the second youngest male contestant in the show's history, being
24:03just 25 at the time of his unmasking.
24:11Grandpa Monster lasted two weeks, remaining safe with his performance of Mambo No. 5,
24:16but losing with Joan Jett's bad reputation.
24:24Various clues led to Nicole guessing Jake Paul, Logan's younger brother.
24:28Maybe it wasn't a big shock for her, but the reveal proved hugely surprising to the rest
24:32of us.
24:33Turns out, Logan Paul really knows how to put on a good show.
24:45Number 7, Mickey Rourke as Gremlin.
24:47Mickey Rourke was the last celebrity we expected to see on The Masked Singer.
24:59Rourke often plays tough guys on screen and is a bit of a tough guy himself, even going
25:04undefeated during his professional boxing career.
25:07Rourke appeared as the Gremlin in the show's fourth season and performed Benny King's
25:12by me.
25:15However, Rourke began to feel hot inside the costume and unmasked himself in a moment of
25:23shocking unpredictability.
25:26We don't know how much of that was pre-planned, but both the premature exit and the reveal
25:41of Rourke made for one of the most memorable moments in Masked Singer history.
25:50Number 6, Busta Rhymes as Dragon.
25:53If nothing else, Busta Rhymes' Dragon costume was amazing.
25:57It's just a shame we didn't get to see much of it.
26:04Rhymes appeared in just one episode of the show's fourth season, performing LL Cool J's
26:09Knock You Out.
26:18Both Robin and Nicole were on him from the very beginning, and both made Busta Rhymes
26:23their first impression guesses.
26:24And then there's Ken guessing Michael Phelps.
26:44Not sure what happened there.
26:46While the reveal wasn't too surprising, owing to the confidence of Robin and Nicole,
26:50it was still quite a shock seeing Busta Rhymes go home so early.
27:04You would think that a 12-time Grammy-nominated artist would have stuck around a little longer.
27:09Maybe his voice was just too recognizable.
27:12Number 5, Lil Wayne as Robot.
27:17The Masked Singer has scored some big names, but few as big as Lil Wayne.
27:22This rapper has released nine platinum albums and 26 platinum-selling singles.
27:34In fact, he's one of the highest-selling musical artists in history, having pushed
27:39over 120 million records throughout his career.
27:43Seeing a legend like this on a singing competition is a very rare occurrence, and it made Lil
27:48Wayne's reveal an unforgettable moment in Masked Singer history.
27:59He appeared in the third season as Robot, but unfortunately didn't last very long.
28:04He finished in last place, having received a poor reception for his rendition of Are
28:08You Gonna Go My Way.
28:16Number 4, Tony Hawk as Elephant.
28:25This is another case of a kick-ass costume gone way too soon.
28:29Appearing in just one episode of the third season, the Elephant performed The Cure's
28:33Friday I'm In Love.
28:35Unfortunately, the performance was deemed lackluster, and poor Elephant received the
28:40boot.
28:47When it comes to the Masked Singer, fans are typically guessing the likes of musicians,
28:51actors, and internet or talk show personalities, not professional skateboarders.
28:56Perhaps this is why none of the judges guessed Tony Hawk.
29:11In fact, no one was even close.
29:14Despite being a household name, absolutely no one was expecting to see the skateboarding
29:18legend behind the mask.
29:20Still, it was a welcome surprise.
29:30Number 3, Dick Van Dyke as Gnome.
29:32How many generations grew up watching Dick Van Dyke?
29:35He's a national treasure.
29:37Scratch that, an international treasure.
29:39So there was no way we ever expected him to show up on The Masked Singer.
29:53The panel made some A-list guesses too, like Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, and Tony Bennett.
29:57Yet, we're not sure even they could have topped the reaction this reveal received.
30:01It's not every day you see a living legend come out from a gnome after all.
30:10At 97, he became the oldest celeb to participate in the competition.
30:15To be honest, they could have wrapped up the season right there because nothing else would
30:18have been as shocking.
30:28Number 2, Sarah Palin as Bear.
30:36Tell us you expected Sarah Palin to be on The Masked Singer and we will call you a liar.
30:41This is undoubtedly one of the show's most unexpected reveals, not only owing to the
30:46mere presence of Palin, but because she performed, of all songs, Sir Mix-A-Lot's Baby Got Back.
30:57It's an unexpected song from an unexpected guest.
31:00And that is what The Masked Singer is all about.
31:03Palin also made history from her tenure, including being the first female to rap and the first
31:09political figure to appear on the show.
31:13It was great seeing her let loose and have some fun.
31:23And the audience had a ton of fun alongside her.
31:26Number 1, Kermit the Frog as Snail.
31:36Is having Kermit the Frog on The Masked Singer sort of cheating?
31:39Maybe, but it was still a ton of fun.
31:43Kermit appeared in the fifth season as the snail.
31:46It was a brilliant bit of costume design, allowing puppeteer Matt Vogel to remain out
31:50of view because he stayed inside the shell, in which a motorized wheelchair was reportedly
31:55installed.
32:01Kermit performed Hall & Oates' You Make My Dreams Come True.
32:04And hearing it now, the singer's identity could not have been more obvious.
32:07But no one had any idea it was him, with guesses ranging from comedians like Seth MacFarlane
32:13and Billy Crystal to Ted Cruz.
32:30This was one of the most memorable reveals from the show, but guessing a fictional character
32:35would have been near impossible.
32:52Which reveal had your jaw dropping to the ground?
32:54Let us know in the comments.
