Coming soon! New public buses in Abu Dhabi

00:00What you see in front of you is a new bus that will be added to Abu Dhabi's fleet of buses from October 11 onwards.

00:09This new model is a minivan and will be used to improve connections within residential areas in Abu Dhabi.

00:16We'll do a quick tour right now.

00:19On the outside you can see these buses will be called DOT Links.

00:24The doors are automatic and open quite easily.

00:34As we go in, there is room to accommodate wheelchairs and there is a lift system out here that can help to hoist the wheelchair.

00:43On the right here is a top-up machine for the Hafeelat cards which are used to access these buses.

00:52And on the left here is a swiping system to deduct the balance and pay the fare.

01:03As we go in, this bus comes with 13 seats.

01:07The first three, which are colored black, are designated for women.

01:11Signage will be included.

01:13And the rest of the seats are for general passengers.

01:16These buses will also have USB charging portals for mobile devices.

01:22And transport officials have said that the buses will also include Wi-Fi.
