00:00Do you relate to this character at all?
00:02I do, actually.
00:03I think one of the aspects of this character
00:05is just what happens when you achieve fame maybe a little bit
00:08before you're ready to.
00:09And not to say that that is my exact story,
00:12but I do understand that we like to cancel people because we
00:17can be a little bit judgmental.
00:18We like to see you in the limelight,
00:20and then we like to watch you fall.
00:22And I experienced that with just I
00:24was in the generation of Disney where
00:27Miley and the Jonas Brothers and all of us
00:30kind of came up together.
00:32And so that quality is definitely
00:34something that I think is infused in this movie.
00:36Sure, yeah.
00:37And like you're saying, you're putting on these productions
00:39and these performances as well, so what
00:41was it like doing the performances, the singing,
00:43and everything like that too?
00:44Yeah, so I actually did not sing in this project, which
00:47people do know that I sing.
00:49But I also just want to really shout out the beautiful artist
00:51her name is Kebra, who did because it
00:55was such a fast project, and it was such a specific style,
00:58and they were supposed to be the biggest stars of this time.
01:01I am a musical theater girly, as we know,
01:04and I love my power ballad.
01:06But to portray that R&B soulful kind of sound,
01:11I really felt like, let's bring someone
01:13in who this is what she does.
01:15And she did it so beautifully.
01:17The music is absolutely good.
01:20It's catchy, it's really, yeah, it's
01:24got this resonance that I think is going to stand on its own,
01:27separate of the movie.
01:28Right, I'm like, I need a Luscious album.
01:30Right?
01:30OK.
01:32No, it's really, really good.
01:33Were you involved in the productions of the songs?
01:36I was not involved in the productions of the songs.
01:38But they were very, very good.
01:40Yeah.
01:41Yeah, no, and when I heard them, I was like, oh, that's me?
01:44Oh, I love, I was like, I love myself.
01:46And you know, to me, it was very interesting
01:48because I'm not ashamed of that.
01:50You know, a lot of times people are very
01:53apt to feel like you're a one-person show
01:55and that you're doing everything and that you're the star.
01:57It doesn't take anything away from me
01:59to have this beautiful woman, you know, voice this character
02:02and to get to embody that because it informed me as to who she was.
02:07Because if it was me, I know who I am and I know what I sound like,
02:10but I have a different tonality.
02:12And so to understand, like, oh, that's the flavor, that's the vibe,
02:16that was a really fun thing to play with.
