00:08The Louvre Abu Dhabi was inaugurated on Wednesday by top dignitaries from the UAE and France,
00:14with both sides hailing the museum as a monument to the global confluence of cultures.
00:19In his inaugural speech, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President
00:23and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, called for an alliance of civilizations
00:28to face the enemies of humanity.
00:30The Louvre Abu Dhabi will be a meeting point for lovers of art, culture and beauty all
00:35around the world, he said.
00:37Sheikh Mohammed officially inaugurated the iconic museum, along with His Highness Sheikh
00:41Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the
00:45UAE Armed Forces, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
00:49British Aid Minister Preeti Patel was forced from office on Wednesday over undisclosed
00:54meetings with Israeli officials.
00:56Preeti Patel, a Brexit campaigner who is popular in the ruling Conservative Party,
01:00had to abandon a trip to Africa earlier in the day.
01:03She was summoned by Prime Minister Theresa May to answer questions on unsanctioned meetings
01:08that breached diplomatic protocol.
01:10US President Donald Trump pressed China to do more on the North Korean nuclear issue
01:15today, but he praised President Xi Jinping's pledge that China would be more open to foreign

01:21Trump also urged Beijing to cut financial links with North Korea and called on Russia

01:27Kevin Spacey is being cut from Ridley Scott's finished film All the Money in the World and
