00:00How did you pick the science fiction film? I mean, that's like an out there film, like
00:09science fiction, it's not easy to do. I love the script. When I got the script, I love
00:13the script, I love, you know, my role. I mean, how many actors can turn around and say that
00:19they got to play an astronaut? Those roles don't come easy. So I did it primarily for
00:24my creativity and for my acting, I wanted to do this. So, you know, that's how I signed
00:30on. What about as an actress, like what do you think was the difference being on a set
00:34on a Hollywood movie as opposed to a Hollywood movie? You know, this is an independent movie
00:40and we shot the entire film in 11 days. I don't know if somebody's, you know, they're
00:45not talking about it, but that was very intense for me as an actor because there would be
00:51days that I would do seven to nine scenes a day and because we had to complete the
00:57movie in 11 days. So that was very intense. Did this movie involve any kind of training
01:03at all? How did you prepare for the role because you're playing an astronaut? Right. There
01:08was all prep from my side. So it was basically getting reference looks for my character.
01:15That's why I took the reference of a lookbook on Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams to see
01:22how they look. Did they have dark hair, short hair, long hair? So just that reference is
01:28what I looked at. But no, the story doesn't revolve around them. I also developed Catherine
01:34Voss as a character. A lot of it was derived from who I am personally, Pooja. And then I
01:43had made a lot of transferences to the incidents related with my life, putting it in Catherine
01:52Voss to make it real. And I just went on the set, you know, I mean, I just and I just enjoyed
01:59being on the set. What would you say is the most common thing between you and Catherine Voss?
02:03I would say the adventurous spirit of having a profession to be an astronaut is the most common.
