00:09the top stories at this hour. The UAE Ministry of Health has allayed public concerns on the
00:15Zika virus outbreak. Dr. Hussain Abdul Rehman, Assistant Under Secretary for Health Centres
00:21and Clinics at the Ministry said the Aedes species of mosquito that causes the infection
00:26is not present in this region and no case has been reported. U.S. health officials
00:33have reported the first case of Zika that was sexually transmitted in Texas. The unidentified
00:39person had not travelled but was infected by a person who had returned from Venezuela
00:44and taken ill with Zika. The U.N.'s Special Envoy warned that all hope to resolve Syria's
00:50civil war would be lost if the latest attempt at peace talks failed. After the opposition
00:56said Russian airstrikes threatened to derail the discussions before they had begun. The
01:01main opposition umbrella group attending the talks said Russia's unprecedented bombardment
01:07near Aleppo threatened to scupper efforts to end the almost five-year conflict. Claudio
