00:11A six-month stay outside the UAE does not automatically cancel residency visas in some situations.
00:17The Ministry of Interior has clarified.
00:19Such special situations include expatriates going abroad for medical treatment,
00:23foreign wives of UAE citizens staying abroad,
00:26and domestic helpers who are accompanying Emiratis studying abroad or seeking medical attention,
00:31said Brigadier Dr. Rashid Sultan Al-Khadr, Deputy Chairperson of the Legal Council at the Ministry.
00:36Saudi forces and Yemen's al-Houthi militia traded heavy artillery fire,
00:40which blew up part of the main border crossing between the two countries overnight.
00:44The Harad border crossing, the largest for passengers and goods between Saudi Arabia and Yemen,
00:48was evacuated amid shelling which razed its departure lounge and passport section, witnesses said.
