00:11Two activists from the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party were shot dead in clashes

00:23Bangladesh authorities stepped up their siege of opposition leader Khaleda Zia, mounting
00:27a blockade of her office to thwart her bid to spearhead protests.
00:32A large blast damaged a building belonging to Yemen's al-Houthi militia in a western
00:36district of the capital Sana'a early this morning, but there were no fatalities. The
00:41explosion left a hole in the wall of the building, which was used as a base by al-Houthis.
00:47Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has said that the United States might want to re-examine
00:51the timetable for removing the remaining U.S.-led coalition troops in the country by the end
00:56of 2016. U.S. troops recently ended their combat role, but thousands are scheduled to
01:01remain in a training and advisory role until the end of 2016, by when the U.S. aims to
01:07have only a normal embassy presence.
01:11The iPhone 5S continues to be the most commonly used mobile phone in the UAE, comprising 3.7
01:17percent of total handsets registered on UAE networks in the third quarter, according to
01:22the Telecommunication Regulation Authority's latest report. Fifty-nine percent of handsets
01:27registered between July 1, 2014 and September 30 were smartphones.
01:34Valencia ruined Real Madrid's winning streak at 22 games, while Barcelona failed to take
01:38advantage as they lost 1-0 to Real Sociedad in the Spanish La Liga last night. League
01:44leaders Real went down 2-1.
01:47American's latest movie, PK, is the highest-grossing film in India, according to its producers.
01:53The film, which has stirred debate and fueled protests by right-wing Hindu organizations,
01:57had total domestic earnings 162 million dirhams.
