00:00On the other news, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. Senatorial candidates under Alianza para sa Bagong Pilipinas held a press conference earlier today in Lawag City in Locos Norte to commence their national campaign for the 2025 midterm elections.

00:15During the event, the candidates outlined their priority bills and plans if elected and addressed current issues in the country. PTV's Danielle Manalastas has more.

00:27As senatorial candidates under the Alianza para sa Bagong Pilipinas kicked off their campaign for the 2025 midterm elections, they have revealed various plans on how they will be able to help the country, even the President, for our nation to succeed.

00:43Of the 12 administration bets, some are trying to make a comeback to the Senate.

00:48Why are we divided? Why are we fighting?

00:52Whoever sits, there are those who oppose.

00:56The program of our President is very good.

00:59In Bagong Pilipinas, one of the things I like is the sustainable livelihood and housing.

01:10President Bongbong Marcos needs help.

01:15That is why we are here to support him.

01:19That is why our entire group hopes that you will help us succeed.

01:26Because if we succeed, President Marcos will succeed.

01:32And if President Marcos succeeds, the entire Philippines will succeed.

01:40The most prominent Filipino in Malacanang is upright.

01:44He is upright in his duty, he is upright in his country, he is upright in the country of the Philippines.

01:50President Bongbong Marcos.

01:52If given the opportunity, I will help President Marcos.

02:00While others are trying their luck to be re-elected.

02:04While some highlighted their achievements over the past years serving as a senator.

02:10I still remember a year ago, a ship was hit by fishermen.

02:18But we were able to help.

02:20Senator Tolentino, the chairman of the committee,

02:24we passed the most difficult law, the Philippine Maritime Zones Law.

02:28Marcos not, Marcos this, Marcos all.

02:36Yet, Kaputa, there is a candidate for the Ilocano.

02:44We are all parents who dream of a better future for our children.

02:50It was my inspiration, just like those I know, to improve the well-being of our country.

02:58I stuttered back then.

03:00But even so, your servants rose up.

03:08A lot of bravery.

03:10But no matter how brave they are, we did not give up the fight.

03:16Because my resistance is for the country.

03:20I am here in front of you now to serve.

03:26Others are first-timers who will try to make a difference by coming up with the new programs for the welfare of Filipinos.

03:34They also enumerated some of their key plans once elected.

03:38We became secretary of JED.

03:40Here it is.

03:42My assignment is to catch and arrest one by one.

03:46Number one, Congressman Arnie Tevez.

03:50Followed by Alice Gou.

03:52And last but not least, Pastor Apollo Kibuloy.

03:58Fellow Filipinos, you do not just need to be good at what you do.

04:04You need to stand up for yourself.

04:08You need to have the courage to make a decision.

04:12Above all, you need to have a loving heart for your fellow Filipinos.

04:16Take care.

04:18We will teach our children that by the time they reach grade 3 or 4, they will be able to read and count.

04:24In the coming May, you will be allowed to serve.

04:30I will be with you in this fight.

04:34We are responding to the problems.

04:38We are here to help the victims of floods, typhoons, earthquakes,

04:44senior citizens, PWDs.

04:48Next, it is enough to find a life, a job, or a livelihood.

04:54But it should not just remain a dream.

05:00For now, this is just the start of a long campaign before the May 2025 elections.
