On the family’s new TLC reality series The Baldwins (premiering Feb. 23), lightheartedly chaotic moments like those are interwoven with scenes about Alec’s legal drama over the accidental shooting on the set of his movie Rust. Cameras rolled on the eight-episode docuseries last year in the weeks before Alec was tried in New Mexico for involuntary manslaughter following the deadly accidental shooting on the set of the western movie Rust in 2021.

00:00I think the hardest part about it is if you say everything's going to be fine,
00:04which is what every parent wants to say to their kids,
00:07you can't. And every parent wants to bubble wrap them.
00:12Everything I've ever done in my life and what my life was like,
00:15I wonder, can I ever go back to that life, maybe have a different life?
00:19I know people who went through what I went through who they would not make it.
00:21Their careers would end. You'd never see them again. They would disappear.
00:24They'll never come back to where they were.
00:26The thing that kept that from happening for me was my family.
00:30I don't know where I would be if I didn't have her in this.
00:33I don't know what would have happened to me.
00:34I might have moved to London and just hidden, you know, and gone away.
00:38I mean, it might be Spain now because of my relationship.
