00:12Investigators are examining video recordings of two passengers who used stolen passports
00:16to board a Malaysian airline passenger jet, missing for three days. A senior Malaysian
00:22official said the team is considering all angles that might shed light on the fate of
00:26the Boeing 777, bound for Beijing. Vietnamese authorities had said earlier that two floating
00:32objects were seen from the air late last night off of Tochu Island, but Malaysia said Vietnam
00:38officials had not yet confirmed whether any reported sightings were indeed debris from
00:42the plane.
00:43A mild tremor hit Dibba around midnight last night, forcing many residents to rush out
00:49of their house. The shock wave was produced by a magnitude-3 earthquake that hit the area
00:54at 11.46 pm. No damage has been reported from the area.
00:59Starvation tactics against civilians are being used as a weapon of war by the Syrian government,
01:04says Amnesty International. The Rice Group said in its latest report that at least 128

01:38Regulatory Authority's fourth-quarter report. The report also found that 51 percent of handsets
01:44registered on the UAE's networks were smartphones.
01:48In sport, second-tier Wigan pulled off a stunning victory over Manchester City for
01:52the second straight year in the FA Cup last night. Wigan can return to the final again
01:57by beating Arsenal, while the other semi-final will be between Hull and Sheffield United.
02:02In cricket, a final decision on the offshore venue for Indian Premier League Six is expected
02:07today. The UAE and Bangladesh are in the running to stage the first half of the tournament.
02:12Bollywood star Juhi Chawla's brother Bobby was cremated in Mumbai yesterday. Bobby, who
02:17died on Sunday morning, has been in a coma since 2010 after suffering a stroke. Before
02:23that, he was the head of the Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment.
