00:00We're here today as a new Nissan Patrol is taking an obstacle course on the Jebel
00:23Alek Shooting Club.
00:24Let's take a look inside the V8 5.6 liter monster and strap in for a ride.
00:31New engines and new automatic transmissions.
00:39As you can see here, as the vehicle lifts off and moves between front and rear axles,
00:45the locking rear differential can also be activated to make sure that the rear wheels
00:49are turning at the same speed to ensure maximum traction.
00:52This is actually quite a testing test and it also puts a lot of torque through the body.
00:57This vehicle has a much, much more rigid body structure than the previous Patrol, as you can see.
01:02And this vehicle has much, much bigger fuel tanks as well.
01:05It's got twin fuel tanks, which means the Patrol is estimated to have a maximum range
01:11of well over 500 kilometers on a full tank.
01:14What surprised me is that even with the all new suspension independent, it works very,
01:19very, very well, even with these very high obstacles that make the car lift off the wheels
01:25off the ground.
01:26It can be easily driving.
01:29You don't feel the car is going to make any strange movement.
01:33So it's very nice, very smooth driving.
01:36The feeling is very, very, very good for me.
01:39It surprised me a lot.
01:40And with the systems, all new system it has, it makes very easy driving, even in these tough tracks.
01:49Usually when you are in a normal car, you feel dizzy.
01:52When you are going a little bit fast on stones like this, after a while you don't like the experience.
01:57And this is where you can really feel that the new system that we have, which allows
02:02the stability of the body in roads like this, is absolutely perfect because you feel good,
02:07you don't feel dizzy after even a long distance.
02:09Then on top of this, you have the more impressive part of it, where you can go up to 45 degrees angle.
02:15I mean, what you have seen here is, we have been to 35 degrees angle,
02:19and we had the impression that we were up in the air.
02:24So that's the 2010 Patrol, which Nissan expects to lead in the local SUV market at the least.
02:28So expect to see a lot more of the hero on the roads come April.
