00:00There's a new facility.
00:08That's probably the most dramatic statement that you can make.
00:11It gives us a first class, we call it world class, facility to run a university.
00:18As you can see behind me, it is quite a stunning architectural masterpiece.
00:23We went through the usual careful discussions about what we want in an academic institution,
00:29the kinds of programs we have, the expectations of future growth, the developments that we
00:34thought we would anticipate, and then architects and work their magic and develop a design
00:40that just is breathtaking.
00:43This was built to accommodate about 6,500 to 7,000 students.
00:49You might be able to see behind me that there's a kind of circuitous wall that basically divides
00:57the campus.
00:58The boys are on one side, the girls are on the other side.
01:01It was built for approximately 4,000 to 4,500 women and 1,500 men.
01:06We have grown 60% as an institution, which is probably unparalleled in many parts of
01:13the world.
01:14That we require all students to take a certain set curriculum, which we call our colloquy,
01:20and general education is another term that's often used, but the colloquy program ensures
01:26that all students take a certain set number of courses that range from global awareness
01:32to technology to information gathering, language development, those kinds of areas, so that
01:39all students have a well-rounded, solid foundation in terms of their education.
01:43I feel it's kind of home in here, because we have a room for playstation, so we don't
01:49get bored or play chess or football in the future maybe, and the classes are not boring
01:55that much.
