00:00This year's event is amazing. It's a two-day event. It's the Ramadan Khair Pakhtiyas 13
00:15in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and it's part of their Dubai
00:19Chamber Charity Festival happening. So we're super excited to be partnered up with them
00:24and also we're super excited that this event is representing officially the new Emirati
00:31Humanitarian Work Day in remembrance of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
00:36He was the founder of the UAE, the father of the nation and we just hope that in some
00:41small way we're continuing his legacy of humanitarianism as well. Dubai Chamber is really proud to
00:46take part of Emirati Humanitarian Work Day. Through this event, Emirati Humanitarian Work
00:54Day, we have organized Adopt-a-Camp campaign in association with Adopt-a-Camp. We're making
01:005,000 care packages today, all of them to be distributed to 5,000 very, very excited
01:06laborers at this massive labor camp. They can't wait. Regardless of religion, they're
01:10saying that this is going to be their best Ramadan ever. Inshallah, may we make that
01:14happen. The beneficiaries of these boxes are workers who are part of Developing Dubai.
01:20We have more than 40 plus items going into each care package, really hefty care packages
01:25with new pillows, new bed linen, new towels, new clothes, everything designed to give these
01:30men a completely fresh start in life, to give them dignity. My message to the volunteers
01:36is that thank you all for taking part of this event and thank you for being part of Emirati
01:42Humanitarian Work Day. Everyone around you is taking time off, especially out of their
01:47busy lives, to come here to help other people. We're so blessed to live in Dubai. We're so
01:53blessed to live in this community where we have over 8,000 volunteers registered just
01:59for tonight. We had over 3,000 yesterday, so it's a lot of people coming together. They
02:04are what make Dubai special, what make care packages very, very special too. We have come
02:09here to show the support for the charity, especially during the month of Ramadan, which
02:13is the month of giving. We just wanted to show that it takes just this much to give
02:18this much back to the society. We are volunteering our time here and we're doing such a great
02:24job with Malfash and volunteers. We're helping the community, we're helping the labours outside.
02:29I'm here today to volunteer with other colleagues and friends to contribute in this charity
02:37event, which is for poor people. I'm here to help out with all the stuff that Adopt-a-Camp
02:45is doing. It's basically care packages for labourers and everything, so I'm trying to
02:48help out in whatever section I can and it's really great. I'm here to help out, to pack,
02:53sort, unpack and do everything, give my time, share my time and resources for these needy,
02:58underprivileged people.

03:29I'm here for these people who have come and don't work in very favourable conditions.
03:35I think it is wonderful when people can get an organisation, can get it in a very nice
03:41way and in a very clear way, how they are going to be able to share with people. All
03:50the boxes that were given today are not perishable items. These are items that are going to last
03:56these people, their blankets, their pillows, their mugs, plates, whatever they need to
04:04survive on a day-to-day level. Linen, you know, all of that has been given to them that
04:08can last them for about four months of their lives and they don't need to go and spend
04:12that money on them. So I think what this organisation does is fantastic because it takes away a
04:19burden from their lives of having to go and spend for these necessities in their lives
04:24and getting them. So I think that is really, really wonderful.
04:28I just want to say Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak in advance.
04:58They have thought very well about us. People come here from far and wide to get something
05:06and they get something. The things that are in here, like oil, soap, cream, powder, everything,
05:14clothes, all of this is the savings of our market. We will save some money. This is very
05:21beneficial for us.
