00:00Good morning. Actually it was my idea to come to Dubai. So I'll just take credit for that.
00:19And how it came about is that I've been wanting to come here for many years, at least ten.
00:25And I didn't have the opportunity, even though I had been invited for various reasons,
00:30I didn't really have the right opportunity to make the trip.
00:35And then I heard the word that Emirates and Qantas were forming a partnership.
00:40And I said, okay, so I need to be there.
00:44Because I've never been to Dubai, and that part of the world has not seen me in person.
00:51And also, as much as I am an airline geek, I'm also an architecture nut.
00:58So that was one of the reasons I wanted to be here, because the architecture fascinates me.
01:03I love modern buildings. Always have since I was a kid.
01:08I was obsessed with mid-century American architecture.
01:12And this is kind of taking that mid-century idea and expanding it.
01:17So, you know, I want to see the tallest building in the world,
01:21but I also want to see all the different styles of architecture.
01:25I wanted to become a pilot. So at 15, I started taking lessons.
01:29And then at 19, I soloed. And at 23, I got my first formal license.
01:35And then at 25, I got my first jet license.
01:38And then I proceeded to get 11 different jet ratings, including the 747.
01:46I was the first non-test pilot on the A380,
01:50which Airbus was kind enough to let me be the first non-test pilot.
01:56I fly my personal Challenger.
01:59I had Marlon Brando from Mexico City to Los Angeles.
02:04I had Muhammad Ali.
02:07When I was very young, I flew him on a citation jet.
02:11I flew Marlon on the Gulfstream.
02:14I flew Horace Dyson, our husband, on our honeymoon to the Caribbean,
02:17Forest Whitaker.
02:20We did a movie together, and I flew him to the East Coast.
02:24I'm planning to go to the desert, ride a camel.
02:27I'm planning to see the tallest building in the world in the sail,
02:30the building with the sail in the mid-century.
