00:18It's due for completion at the end of 2009, and it's the first course to be designed by
00:23the reigning U.S. Open champion.
00:25Built in true Dubai style, the project, which will be jointly developed by Tatwir, is boasting
00:30some pretty outrageous features.
00:32On the barren desert in Dubai land, the 7,800-yard championship course will have over 10,000
00:39trees, many imported from around the world.
00:42That's in addition to the 5 million square feet of locally grown grass.
00:45The golf course aside, in expect luxury residences, over 75 mansions and 100 villas dotted in
00:51between carefully manicured gardens, a spa and a 600 million dirham hotel.
00:57But for Woods, it's all about the game, and he wants his course to be played by golfers
01:01of all levels.
01:02It's a golf course in which you can use run-up areas, use hills, use our topography to help
01:09you get the ball onto the green, onto the fairways, and I think it'll be fun for all
01:14levels of players.
01:15It's been around three months since Woods underwent knee surgery that has sidelined
01:19him for most of the 2008 season, and the defending champion said his presence was uncertain
01:24at next year's Dubai Desert Classic.

01:29And so I really can't tell you, and that's frustrating for me because I usually have
01:34everything kind of planned out in preparation for events.
01:38Woods will follow in the footsteps of Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomery and Ernie Ells, who
