00:00The big cameras came out, and I just said, leave him some dignity, would you? F---- off."
00:07It's no secret that heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne's health has been declining in recent
00:11years. But the veteran rocker's wife, Sharon Osbourne, has since shared some truly tragic
00:15news about Ozzy's life that's guaranteed to break any fan's heart.
00:19In an interview with The Sun, Sharon revealed Ozzy's health has taken a turn for the worse,
00:23telling the outlet he can no longer walk. She said,
00:26"[Parkinson's is a progressive disease. It's not something you can stabilize. It affects
00:31different parts of the body, and it's affected his legs."
00:34Ozzy confirmed the tragic news during an installment of Ozzy Speaks on his SiriusXM channel, Ozzy's
00:39Boneyard, saying in a recent episode,
00:41"'I've made it to 2025. I can't walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays?
00:45For all my complaining, I'm still alive. I may be moaning that I can't walk, but I look
00:50down the road and there's people that didn't do half as much as me and didn't make it.'"
00:54Ozzy's health woes can be traced back to 2019, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's
00:58disease. He didn't go public with his diagnosis until the following year, when the news revealed
01:03that Ozzy discovered he had the disease after enduring a fall at his home. The fall also
01:07dislodged metal pins placed in his neck after a 2003 ATV accident, which required surgery
01:12and a lengthy convalescence.
01:14During a 2020 appearance on Good Morning America, when he and Sharon first revealed his diagnosis,
01:19the former Black Sabbath frontman detailed the horrifying experience and revealed how
01:22much of a challenge it had all been for them.
01:24"'I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves.'"
01:30At the time, Sharon said that, despite the prognosis, he was still relatively healthy,
01:35saying,
01:36"'There's so many different types of Parkinson's. It's not a death sentence by any stretch of
01:39the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body.'"
01:42"'It's like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.'"
01:47Unfortunately, Ozzy's condition has since become progressively worse. And back in 2024,
01:52Ozzy revealed on The Osbournes podcast that he was already experiencing great difficulty
01:56walking, saying that his feet felt like they had bricks tied to them when he tried to move
02:00around.
02:01Despite the tragic health update, Sharon recently announced that Ozzy would be reuniting with
02:04Black Sabbath for a special one-time-only performance.
02:07That concert, she said, not only marks the first time the band's original lineup will
02:11appear on the same stage in 20 years, but it will also be the last time the four will
02:15ever perform together.
02:16Sharon told BBC News that Ozzy is excited about the upcoming show, set to take place
02:20in his hometown of Birmingham on July 5, 2025.
02:23"'He's doing great. He's doing really great,' she said. "'He's so excited about this, about
02:28being with the guys again and all his friends. It's exciting for everyone.'"
02:32And when Ozzy takes to the stage for the reunion show, she promised fans that he'd make up
02:36for his lack of mobility with music, saying,
02:38"'But his voice is as good as it's ever been.'"
02:41Unfortunately, the good news comes with a bit of a black cloud. She also revealed that
02:45this won't just be Ozzy's final show with Black Sabbath — it will be his final show
02:49ever. Ozzy didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels
02:54there's been no full stop. This is his full stop.
