00:00Congrats again. We met yesterday at the Critics' Choice. How do you feel being honoured and

00:10also being in this amazing event?

00:14Well I've gotten over the being honoured part, that was last night. And it was a terrible

00:19terrible shock. I don't like surprises. But I've gotten over that. Tonight I'm here to

00:25honour Adrian, who gives an extraordinary performance in a really extraordinary film.

00:32A film that I think reminds us of the fullness of the American experience, and by that I

00:39mean the immigrant experience. Because I don't think there is an American who, if they look

00:44back into their family tree, doesn't find someone from somewhere else. And the intimacy

00:54with which Adrian expresses that in this film, and the way this filmmaker expresses

01:00that is just extraordinary. So I'm very honoured to be here presenting for him.

01:05What does this award mean to you, for grown-ups and for the industry?

01:10Well I'm a grown-up, so it's convenient that they've picked me to represent for them and

01:17for Adrian. But I also think grown-up is code for smart films. Films that might stay

01:27with you. Films that might last. Films that might be meaningful to you and to your children.

01:32So that's how I look at films for grown-ups.

01:35Looking back at the beginning of your career and where you are now, did you imagine your

01:42path in this industry?

01:47I imagined so many paths in this industry. But not this one specifically. No. Yeah. No.

01:57What's next for you?

02:00Well, I've got a 16-month-old child at home. Darren Aronofsky made a film called Caught

02:12Stealing that I'm in, that will come out I think in the spring or August. Not in August.

02:20And I don't know. I don't know. I'm just going to enjoy being a grown-up.

02:24Coming to Spain to our festival.

02:26That would be amazing. I would like to go to Zaragoza very much.
