00:00Huntley North Cricket Club, firstly welcome you all here for this unfortunate, in unfortunate circumstances.
00:10But what I'll do first is I'll hand over to Huntley North's President Johnny Wilson,
00:15he'll say a few words and I'll come back and say something after that.
00:21Over to you Gene.
00:23Welcome everybody. Lincoln took on the challenge of becoming Captain Coach of Huntley North Cricket Club
00:28from 2009 to 2014.
00:31His talent, leadership and all round contribution to our club will never be forgotten.
00:35Everyone at Huntley North offers our deepest sympathy and condolences to the McRae family.
00:40Not only was Lincoln a talented cricketer, but the passion and support he showed to all our young and aspiring cricketers
00:46long after his playing days was something that's truly commendable.
00:49I know his advice and encouragement is something that will stay with me my boys forever.
00:54Rest in peace Lincoln.
00:59Alright, sorry not to echo the words of John, but same thing as I mentioned before,
01:06it's obviously a great sadness to come and meet in these circumstances.
01:10As we're all aware, we're all shocked and saddened of the news of the passing of Lincoln during the week.
01:18The irony isn't lost on me here either and probably everyone around us.
01:24We're currently playing the two teams that Lincoln played with in Bendigo.
01:29They're fighting actually in a really, really crucial game.
01:33So together, Lincoln was held in really high esteem and respected by not just the Huntley North Bendigo,
01:44but also the wider sporting community all the way throughout Victoria.
01:51So with that, for those who can, please be upstanding and remove your hats
01:58and we'll observe a minute of silence in honour of Lincoln the great.
