00:29A time to celebrate, Super Mario Kart
00:39Though much of the Mario Kart series is nothing but harmless fun, save for the times when someone rages after getting hit with a blue shell
00:45There was a time when Mario and company were a little more adult
00:49Well, at least in Japan. Both Peach and Bowser's victory animations see them enjoying a bottle of champagne to celebrate their victory
00:56These animations were removed from the North American release on account of drinking ages in the US and Canada
01:01As well as Nintendo of America's policy on featuring alcohol in their games. It wasn't family-friendly for Western audiences
01:08So it was removed from the game
01:17The grumpy old man, Pokemon Red and Blue
01:26When exploring Viridian City, players will find an old man sprawled in the middle of the walkway and are unable to walk past him
01:32According to his grandson, grandpa has been grumpy because he hasn't had his coffee yet
01:36However, the Japanese version tells a different story
01:39This time we learn that the old man is completely drunk and needs coffee in order to sober up
01:44Of course, we can understand why this change was made and it was probably for the same reasons why Super Mario Kart had its champagne

01:57The Toad in the Shower, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga
02:07The first game in the Mario and Luigi series starts off on a really adult note with its dark intro
02:12It only gets more adult when the player gains control for the first time
02:15As Toad, the player must explore Mario and Luigi's house to find our plucky plumber
02:20It isn't until he approaches the shower when he hears Mario singing
02:27Instead of, you know, knocking or yelling for Mario outside
02:33Toad waltzes on in and freaks out from seeing Mushroom Kingdom's hero in a not-so-heroic situation
02:39Kids might laugh at Toad being disgusted by Mario's chest hair, but older players know Toad was traumatized by something else
02:52The Western Ending, Mario Party 2
02:57We have yet another regional difference between Japanese and Western versions
03:02But this time it's in one of the classic Mario Party games
03:06In Mario Party 2, players can compete in Western land for the chance to take on the outlaw, Bowser the Brash
03:12Western audiences saw Bowser and the winner dueling with pop guns and shooting corks at each other
03:18The Japanese version, on the other hand, had the characters use actual revolvers
03:22Would Western audiences have liked seeing Mario and the gang literally putting a bullet in Bowser?
03:27Probably not then, but today's audience would probably find it hilarious
03:31I mean, no, we must think of the children!
03:39Red Canyon 2, Kirby's Dream Land 2

03:47It's time we realized that Kirby isn't the insanely cute and innocent little Puyo we've been led to believe
03:53We only need one shred of evidence to prove that notion
03:56Exhibit A, Kirby's Dream Land 2
03:58In the final level of Red Canyon, Kirby will enter a room where the blocks are arranged in a very particular order
04:04Of course, it doesn't look like much with the Game Boy screen
04:07But when the room is fully assembled and scaled, it reveals the true pattern
04:11A smiling, naked lady
04:13How this got past even Nintendo of America's censors is beyond us
04:21Roll in the Tub, Mega Man Legends
04:27Let's take a break from Nintendo games for a brief moment
04:30Some PlayStation games aren't any better at hiding adult jokes in E-rated games
04:35Take Capcom's Mega Man Legends
04:37There's a moment where Volnutt can enter Roll's room while she's taking a bath
04:41While we don't ever see her, it's not this bit that we're concerned about
04:44It's the aftermath
04:45Roll gives Volnutt an earful and yells at him to leave
04:48Sure, Volnutt looks ashamed and embarrassed, but when he finally leaves
04:52The little delinquent does a quick fist pump like he just achieved something
04:55The sheer audacity, that was no accident
04:59Next time, knock before opening the door
05:02Sorry, Roll
05:05The infamous Waluigi Chop
05:07Super Mario Strikers
05:15One of the bits that made Super Mario Strikers so memorable
05:18Was the change in tone compared to most Mario games
05:21This one had some grit and attitude behind it
05:23For parents, there may have been a bit too much grit and attitude
05:26Especially when our lord and savior, Waluigi, was on screen
05:29When scoring a goal, Waluigi will sometimes get carried away and celebrate with a crotch chop
05:34Yeah, that was not a sight that we were anticipating
05:36And the pelvic thrusting certainly doesn't help us forget the image
05:39We're sure the internet doesn't mind it though
05:45The Bone in Pterodactyl Land
05:47Banjo-Tooie
05:55This one is a bit more explicit than the other Nintendo games
05:58Kids may not put two and two together, but the adults will see it and can never unsee it
06:03While exploring the prehistoric environments of Pterodactyl Land
06:06Players will come across a small, swampy area with a narrow path of rocks going down the middle
06:11Only thing is that this path of rocks looks a little bulbous and flaccid, don't you think?
06:16Like we said, you'll never unsee it
06:18Hey, what else would you expect from a series known for the occasional innuendo?
06:26A Peachy Shower
06:28Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
06:34Speaking of steamy moments in Nintendo games, the Paper Mario series is blushing in the corner as we speak
06:40We know exactly why, too
06:42The Thousand Year Door shows a scene where Peach is exploring the rooms of the place where she's being held captive
06:47One of these rooms holds a shower and is interactive
06:50Kids will most likely think nothing of it, it's just someone taking a bath or a shower
06:54For an adult passing by though, sensors are most likely kicking into overdrive
06:58Heh, the Mushroom Kingdom will shower through any crisis, huh?
07:04Starlene's Glitch, Ratchet & Clank
07:13Granted, Ratchet & Clank isn't exactly a kid's game as it is rated T for teen
07:17But any normal parent would flip if this appeared on their kid's screen, regardless of age
07:22In the original Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 2, there's a really weird glitch that for some reason affects Starlene
07:29Just start flip-jumping around her like a madman while strafing and her cleavage will grow, somehow
07:34Yeah, video game logic
07:36Also, yes, this is possible in the PS3 HD port
07:39Why this happens is a mystery to everyone, including the developers themselves
