00:00Let's all become a TAXI!
00:14My fellow countrymen, there are motorists who have been found at EDSA busway.
00:18One of them is a US Embassy employee.
00:22Another one is a rider who was found in the middle of the road.
00:26Both the DOTR and the cyclist were injured.
00:30This is Joseph Moro.
00:36Authorities stopped the rider after he passed through EDSA busway on Ortigas Avenue.
00:41But instead of stopping, the rider fell down and was hit by an operator from the DOTR Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation or DOTR-SAIC.
00:52Even though he was hit, the rider continued to go straight and entered the bike lane where he was hit by a cyclist.
00:59That's where he was caught.
01:08The 56-year-old biker fell from a cliff.
01:16According to the DOTR-SAIC, their team leader was not injured.
01:20The driver explained that he was already late for work.
01:34He did not escape the DOTR-SAIC.
01:51He was already there. I did not really see him.
01:55Meanwhile, the escaped rider will be jailed because of a series of complaints against him.
02:01He is facing direct assault, resistance and disobedience, and abandonment of victim.
02:07We will conduct further investigation. While we are waiting for a resolution in the fiscal, we will detain him.
02:15There was also a convoy that passed by the busway and escorted a motorcycle.
02:20When the driver asked for his license, he gave him a diplomatic passport.
02:24And when the DOTR-SAIC took a picture of him, they got angry.
02:27The U.S. Embassy introduced him.
02:30He is threatening to steal U.S. diplomatic material.
02:33All I ask, you give it to the PFE General and he will follow up. Not me, not us.
02:38Yeah, it's not us. It's for him.
02:40I don't want the U.S. involved. But his threat, which is hostile and illegal to confiscate diplomatic passport.
02:47The Americans also issued a ticket.
02:50The diplomats who were allowed on the EDSA busway are not included.
02:54The U.S. Embassy has already announced the incident
02:56and ordered their personnel to follow the laws in the Philippines, including the traffic regulations.
03:02For GMA Integrated News, I am Joseph Morong, your witness.
03:07We witnessed the release of a patient in a hospital in Manila
03:10after his wife was fined Php 100,000 by the doctor who introduced him.
03:16The so-called staff called and ordered a discount for the professional fees of two doctors.
03:23But to avoid tax evasion, they talked online to send the money.
03:28The victim's confidant named the bank account to one of the doctors.
03:33And when the nurse confirmed that the bank transfer was with the doctor,
03:38that's when they found out that it was a scam.
03:41They approached the Manila District Anti-Cybercrime Team to trace the scammer.
03:48Continued defense of the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines, even if it is lacking in maritime transportation.
03:54That's what President Bobo Marcos said.
03:56President Bobo Marcos is still inside the EEZ of the Philippines.
03:59The ships of China Coast Guard are already considered as its monster ship.
04:04Witness, Chino Gaston.
04:10It is really hard to let the monster ship and other ships of China leave the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines,
04:16according to President Bobo Marcos.
04:18Well, we don't have the means to let them leave.
04:20It's a good thing that we have an aircraft carrier with a destroyer, frigate, and submarine.
04:26But our policy is that we will just continue to defend our territorial rights in the EEZ.
04:33That statement is considered by the Philippine Coast Guard as an order to protect the EEZ
04:39and support the modernization program of their group.
04:43I don't think that the President is saying that we can't do it.
04:47As what we saw for the past days since January 4,
04:51the Philippine Coast Guard vessel BRP Teresa Magbanwa has vigilantly challenged and drove away the China Coast Guard monster ship.
05:00Recently, the President approved the purchase of five patrol vessels from Japan and 40 fast patrol crafts from France.
05:08This is an addition to those who are guarding the EEZ, like BRP Teresa Magbanwa,
05:13which is facing the China Coast Guard vessel 3304, which is 105 nautical miles away from Zambales.
05:20PCG also drove away the monster ship 5901 of China back to Bajo de Macinloc,
05:27after it approached the coastline of Zambales.
05:30The attack on the monster ship took place a few days before the Philippine Navy, America, Australia, and Japan deployed together.
05:38As part of the practice of fighting submarines,
05:41there was also a sighting of a Chinese sea vehicle in the area of activity, although they did not know about it according to the AFP.
05:49PCG hopes that they will continue their joint operations and exercises with the U.S. and Japanese Coast Guard.
05:56According to a security analyst,
05:58there is no silver bullet that resulted in a protracted incremental competition between, of course, China, the Goliath, and of course, the Philippines, the Navy.
06:08For GMA Integrated News, who is your witness?
06:14A man was held up in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City.
06:17The victim was just walking on the side of the road when someone suddenly cornered him.
06:22He saw that a man was holding something in his pocket, so he gave it to him.
06:27Later, a motorcycle arrived and the cell phone of the victim went off.
06:33The victim fell asleep in the barangay and they were able to talk to the police.
06:38When the barangay police arrived, they were doing something against the incident of holding up in the area.
06:45Three people were killed in Pananambang, Zamboanga City.
06:48And in the CCTV of Barangay Tatuan, the two SUVs in the motorcycle of the three victims were caught.
06:55In another angle, the motorcycle was in the middle of the two SUVs.
07:02Until the gunshot rang out.
07:06There is no CCTV in the area where the shooting happened.
07:09According to the police, the victims came from the bar.
07:12They heard the gunshots from some men in the parking area.
07:16This is the 8th incident of shooting in Zamboanga City since the election gun ban started.
07:2445 million pesos worth of smuggled diesel was found in a boat in Bataan.
07:30Eight people were arrested.
07:31Witness, John Consulta.
07:39The NBI Intelligence Service arrested the people in this boat.
07:48Eight crew members of the MVF team who were involved in oil smuggling were arrested.
07:54Eleven lorries or oil tankers from different towns in Bataan and Bulacan were also stopped.
08:00There are 800,000 liters of smuggled diesel in the boat worth 45 million pesos
08:07that they took from a bigger boat in Laot.
08:11The suspects were caught while smuggling 4 out of 11 trucks.
08:18We got information that there are smuggled fuel, diesel,
08:29after a month of surveillance, our Criminal Intelligence Division found out
08:39that they were actually siphoning and transferring it to the truck without paying a tax.
08:44This is a huge loss for our government.
08:47The NBI believes that smuggling has been going on for a long time.
08:50This port was hidden and not easy to reach.
08:53When I asked where the smuggled diesel was being transported,
08:57they told me that it was being transported by six trucks.
09:04Six trucks?
09:05Yes, sir.
09:06They suddenly attacked me here.
09:09I didn't know that it was illegal.
09:11The captain of the boat was confronted by the NBI.
09:15Do you have a license as a captain?
09:17I'm just a recruit, sir.
09:19Not just a recruit. Do you have a license? I'm asking you. Do you have a license?
09:23No, sir.
09:24If you don't have a license as a captain, you won't be able to answer this question.
09:32We are now here at the upper deck of the boat,
09:34where on my right is the bridge where the captain of this vessel is located.
09:40You can see from my vantage point,
09:42these are spaghetti-like hoses that are tied to the sides of the boat.
09:48We noticed that some of these hoses have crossed the tracks
09:53where the smuggled diesel is being transported.
09:57We also noticed that there are people from the Bureau of Customs
10:02who are now on standby to conduct a test to find markers in these diesels.
10:08According to the National Bureau of Investigation,
10:10they will immediately finish their investigation
10:13in order to file several complaints against the owner of this vessel.
10:19Markers are called chemicals added to petroleum that changes color when tested.
10:24If there are no markers, it means that the cargo is not paid for.
10:29They will all be charged for violation of Customs Modernization and Tariff Act,
10:38violation of tax reform for acceleration and inclusion law,
10:42and violation of the country's law No. 33 as amended.
10:46We will also investigate the money laundering part of the Amlak Law.
10:55They will all be charged.
10:58For JMA Integrated News, I'm your host, John Consulta.
11:03Saksi!
11:10Together with several artists and personalities
11:13in exploring the new photo wall at the JMA Network.
11:16Saksi! I'm Lara Santiago.
11:23The corridors on the ground floor of the JMA Network Center became brighter
11:29because of the new portraits of Kapusu artists and personalities.
11:35All shot with a diamond-like backdrop
11:38because it's the 75th anniversary of the JMA this year.
11:43Welcome to the new Kapusu photo wall that was inaugurated earlier.
11:49It's a small token of our appreciation for all of their work
11:55and the happiness and strength that they all bring us.
12:00This is our way of honoring our talents who has contributed to the success of the network.
12:07The photos of Dindong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Alden Richards,
12:14Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo, Jenilyn Mercado, Julian San Jose, and other Kapusu artists are in the gallery.
12:22Looking at the photos, I'm happy that I was able to share the screen or the stage with these talented Kapusu artists.
12:29It's an honor to be part of this wall.
12:33All the hard work paid off and of course, I've been a loyal Kapuso.
12:40It feels good in my heart that I'm here with so many artists.
12:47I'm super thankful and grateful especially that 2025 is actually my 10th year with GMA.
12:53The GMA artists are on the photo wall.
12:57Like the 24-hour anchors, Mel Tsiangko, Vicky Morales, and Emil Sumangil.
13:04The first hit host, Arnold Clavio, and KMJS host, Jessica Soho.
13:10It's an honor to be part of this photo wall.
13:15The GMA artists and news personalities are here with us.
13:23It's a huge blessing.
13:25Thank you to GMA.
13:27Along with the wall is the portrait of the famous Kapusu anchor and broadcaster, Mike Enriquez.
13:34And other personalities of GMA Integrated News and Public Affairs.
13:40Aside from the President and CEO, Gilberto R. Duavid Jr.
13:45and Executive Vice President and CFO, Felipe S. Yalong.
13:50It's an honor to have Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News,
13:57Regional TV and Synergy, Oliver Victor B. Amoroso.
14:02Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Group, Lilibeth G. Razonable.
14:08Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications, Angel Javier Cruz.
14:14And Vice President for Public Affairs, Arlene Carnay.
14:18Some of the members of the Board of Directors of GMA Network have also arrived.
14:24Like Executive Committee Chairman, Joel G. Jimenez.
14:29Former Chief Justice, Artemio Panganiban.
14:33Laura Jimenez Westphal.
14:35And Judith R. Duavid Vazquez.
14:39For GMA Integrated News, Lar Santiago is your witness.
14:47At the first opportunity, Vice President Sara Duterte spoke after she was impeached by the camera.
14:53She said that her legal team is getting ready.
14:56Some congressmen encouraged her to lower their vices in the impeachment process.
15:02Witness, Marisol Abduraman.
15:08God save the Philippines.
15:12Two days after being impeached by the camera,
15:15Sara Duterte.
15:17Vice President Sara Duterte faced the media.
15:20She hasn't read the complaint yet.
15:22But her legal team is already preparing for the impeachment trial.
15:27We've already started preparing the moment
15:31Franz Castro announced the impeachment plans which was November of 2023.
15:36So November of 2023, there were already lawyers doing their work for the impeachment.
15:44So, we leave it to the lawyers.
15:48Is the Vice President ready to face the impeachment court?
15:51If possible, no.
15:52And I understand, if possible, no.
15:56Because they might be intimidated by my presence there.
16:00Do you think the numbers in the Senate will be updated?
16:02I can't say that now, sir.
16:05We're not there yet.
16:07Are you not confident that you have enough allies to avoid a conviction in the Senate acting as an impeachment court?
16:13I haven't thought about that, sir.
16:16I've not counted numbers of votes in the Senate.
16:22So, we are not there yet.
16:24We are still, the legal team is still in the preparation of the defense
16:31and what we will do moving forward.
16:35The highest punishment that can be imposed by the impeachment court
16:38is being removed from office.
16:40Resignation is not an option.
16:45Resignation is not an option.
16:47We are not there yet, ma'am.
16:49These things are still too far.
16:55We are still in the process of reading.
17:01Actually, ma'am, we are not there yet because only the lawyers are working.
17:08I really don't know what they are doing.
17:10But I have a meeting with them.
17:11The vice president did not specify who will be his defense team.
17:15But his amongst former President Rodrigo Duterte,
17:18who said that he will have a lawyer for him,
17:21may not be able to be the lead counsel.
17:24Maybe if he wants to, he can be part of the defense team.
17:28But because of his age and because of rigorous preparations in an impeachment case,
17:36maybe I will tell him not to be the lead.
17:41Because former President Rodrigo Duterte is a bit old.
17:47He's already 80 years old this year.
17:49They haven't talked to his father yet.
17:52But he sent a message here.
17:54I think I said everything will be alright.
17:58I think that's what I said.
18:01His reply was a song.
18:05What song?
18:06MacArthur Spark.
18:10He sent a video of him singing.
18:13That vice president,
18:19if you see him, if you talk to him, tell him to die.
18:24Memorize MacArthur Spark.
18:29215 congressmen endorsed the impeachment complaint.
18:32That's why it was directly transmitted to the Senate.
18:35Do I feel betrayed?
18:40Actually, ma'am, I don't have feelings.
18:46I don't have feelings about it.
18:50Because if you notice, I really don't have a political partner.
18:58I don't join their circles.
19:03But we are friends.
19:05Maybe that's why it's easy for them to make decisions about impeachment.
19:13Because there's nothing that is worthwhile in our friendship.
19:23I'm okay.
19:25You know, it's more painful to leave a boyfriend or girlfriend
19:34than to be impeached by the House of Representatives.
19:40First on the list of signatures is presidential son
19:43and House Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos.
19:47How do you feel?
19:48BBM said that he didn't support the impeachment
19:51but his son was the first one to sign.
19:53Oh.
19:57Because he said, this is the only thing I can read.
20:02Congressman Marcos said that he didn't support the 4th impeachment complaint
20:07but he shouldn't be surprised if he was the first one to sign the complaint.
20:11As to why I was the first one to sign,
20:13you know, if a person wants to insult your grandfather
20:18and throw his body in the West Philippine Sea,
20:21he will say that he wants to kill the President and the First Lady of my parents
20:26and he wants to kill the Speaker.
20:28Why would a person be surprised if I was the one to sign?
20:32You know, these are statements that can't be taken lightly
20:35especially from someone with such a high position.
20:39So, I wonder why a person would be surprised.
20:43The first one to be sued in the articles of impeachment
20:45were the so-called words of the Vice President
20:47against the President, First Lady, and House Speaker.
20:50But the Vice President insisted,
20:52I did not make an assassination threat to the President.
20:57They're the only ones who say that.
20:59They're the only ones who say that there's an assassination.
21:01They're the only ones who say that there's an assassin, a gunman.
21:05I did not say that.
21:07I think he knows the truth to that, so let's just leave it at that.
21:10The Vice President didn't answer the question
21:12if he believes that the President has nothing to do with the impeachment
21:16and if he believes that he has money for this.
21:18Some congressmen did not like the line of questioning
21:22of the vices in the impeachment process
21:24in regards to the lovers who broke up.
21:27It shows how low his regard for public service is,
21:32how he does not value the mandate of the people
21:36and our democratic processes.
21:39I want to say to Vicky Sarate,
21:41this is not a matter of friendship,
21:43this is a matter of public accountability and responsibility.
21:47The impeachment trial is yet to be decided.
21:51But first, Senate President Jesus Cotero said
21:54that it is possible to start this in June
21:56because the session is already on break.
21:58House Speaker Martin Rumwaldes
22:00is being asked to leave the Senate
22:02and he said that he's in a hurry.
22:05The congressmen who signed,
22:07there were 25 more,
22:09according to House Secretary General Reginald Velasco,
22:12in their district and abroad,
22:14were the ones who signed on Wednesday.
22:17If the Senate accepts the additional signatures,
22:20the endorsement of the court impeachment complaint
22:24for the GMA Integrated News will reach 240.
22:27I am Marisol Abdurrahman,
22:29your witness.
22:32That train raced in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in America.
22:36At the same time, there was a strong smoke
22:39while they were lighting up the fire.
22:41According to the authorities,
22:43the fire started in the first wagon of the so-called train
22:47that was evacuated by more than 300 passengers.
22:57Barbie Shu's husband was released
22:59following the birth of Meet Your Garden star.
23:02Barbie was also remembered by her co-star,
23:04Vanessa Wu.
23:06Our witness.
23:10Simple locker,
23:12fabric,
23:13and dining table that looks like a car.
23:16These locations are IG-worthy in Taiwan.
23:20But it's not just a fleck on social media
23:23for the Filipino fans of the hit 2000 series,
23:26Meet Your Garden.
23:28Because of these places,
23:30some iconic scenes of the series were shot,
23:33which is a big part of the youth of many millennials.
23:36I even asked my neighbors to watch the series
23:39so that we can watch it together.
23:42That's why later, at the age of 48,
23:44the Taiwanese actress Barbie Shu,
23:46due to pneumonia,
23:48seems to be alive again,
23:50the Meet Your Garden fever.
23:52Many have a nostalgia trip,
23:54like Victoria Pendaton,
23:56a person who met Barbie in 2018.
24:00Hi.
24:01Oh my God.
24:02Can we?
24:03Of course.
24:05Oh my God.
24:06I was supposed to be happy then,
24:08but I cried.
24:09I cried because I was so happy,
24:11very welcoming,
24:12and very humble.
24:14To Barbie's co-stars in Meet Your Garden,
24:17the first ones to reach the audience were
24:20Ken Chu, a.k.a. Ximen,
24:22and Jerry Yan, a.k.a. Daoming Si.
24:25Now,
24:26Vanessa Wu, a.k.a. Meizuo,
24:28is the one who reached the message.
24:31Vanessa thanked all of Barbie's goodness
24:34since they first met.
24:36Her message to the actress?
24:38Rest in love.
24:40The love that fans felt
24:42from different parts of the world
24:44was thanked by Barbie's ex-husband,
24:47DJ Koo.
24:48According to the South Korean DJ and producer,
24:51the sadness and pain she felt
24:54cannot be described.
24:57She said she lost her strength
24:59and she didn't want to speak.
25:01Koo forced her to
25:03hurt Barbie and her family
25:06and those who were her rivals.
25:09Koo will do legal things
25:12to protect Barbie's children
25:15from bad people.
25:17She also promised
25:19to give Barbie's mother
25:21the assets she left behind.
25:23Koo also considered it as a gift
25:25the time she spent with Barbie
25:27and she will not exchange it
25:29for anything.
25:31For GMA Integrated News,
25:33Obri Karampel is your witness.
25:43Harleen Budol learned a lot
25:45after being involved in a controversy
25:47last year.
25:48She said in GMA Integrated News interviews
25:51that she joined her family,
25:54her grandmother,
25:56and God.
25:57She also apologized
25:59to everyone involved in the issue,
26:00including the bashers.
26:02Fast forward to today,
26:03Harleen is thankful for the blessings.
26:06Like her return to GMA Afternoon Prime
26:09on Monday
26:10via Bilibili Marikit
26:12with her TikTok co-host,
26:14Pokwak.
26:15Her leading men in the series,
26:17her new partner,
26:18Tony Labrusca,
26:20and Manhunt winner and sparkle artist,
26:23Kevin Daso.
26:25How is he closer?
26:30Tony.
26:31Yes.
26:32It's obvious.
26:33I can't talk to you
26:34like that.
26:36Of course, it's Kevin.
26:38You said you're having a hard time.
26:39Yes.
26:40He embraces himself
26:41even though he doesn't understand me.
26:44You thought we're just signing languages.
26:46Huh?
26:47Yes.
26:48You.
26:52I'm Pia Arcangel
26:54for a bigger mission
26:56and a wider service to the country.
26:59From GMA Integrated News,
27:01the news authority of the Philippines.
27:02Until Monday,
