00:00Malaysia continues to make a name for itself in the international arena
00:03when Dato' Amarjid Singh was elected as the president of the Association of Asian Bicycle Riders, ACC.
00:08Amarjid won the election in Bangkok,
00:10replacing the Indonesian representative, Raja Sabta Oktahari,
00:14with a 24-17 vote.
00:16At the same time, he became the first Malaysian citizen to follow in his father's footsteps
00:20to hold the highest position in the Association of Asian Bicycle Riders.
00:23This unique history shows Amarjid repeating the history of his father,
00:27Tansri Darshan Singh, who filled this position from 1996 to 2005.
00:32With this appointment, Amarjid is determined to strengthen the Association of Asian Bicycle Riders
00:37and bring positive changes to the development of this association.
00:41I became the president of the Association of Asian Bicycle Riders for 2025-2029.
00:51This is a message that they believe in the leadership of Malaysia
00:58and the ability of the Malaysian leadership to bring the Association of Asian Bicycle Riders to the world.
01:06So I think the vision that I have introduced to all the representatives of Asia,
01:13my One Asia vision, has been received quite well.

01:21not only in Malaysia, but also in Asia and the world.
01:25So I'm very happy to be elected as the new president of ACC
01:29and to have the headquarters of Asian Cycling back in Malaysia.
