00:00Yeah, objectively and honestly, it just was not a great day for
00:04AK. I don't think that he communicated the plan very
00:09clearly. You wanted clarity and it still seems rather murky. I
00:13don't know if they are trying to get in the play and if that's
00:16the primary goal and it always has been or if they're trying
00:20to position themselves to draft higher because this draft is so
00:24deep with talent which I think was the original premise we all
00:27were operating under and we all believed and that was the
00:31reason that when they traded Zach Levine, we jumped to the
00:34conclusion rightfully so and I think understandably so that
00:39this was a team that was going to put itself in a position to
00:42draft higher by maybe losing more. You don't ever articulate
00:46that if you're the uh top executive of an NBA team but
00:50you also don't have to because everybody knows what's going on
00:54as it is. I'm not sure we know what's going on. I'm not sure
00:58that it is crystal clear that they want to neglect the
01:02playoffs this year so they can position themselves to get a
01:05higher pick in a draft that is so deep. I'm not sure that it
01:09was convincing at all. Sometimes when you are unclear
01:13about your direction or you're running in place and and really
01:16as the bulls are not very clear about your intentions, you can
01:21buy yourself some time by projecting a message that makes
01:24people believe you do know the direction yourself. I don't
01:28think reading off a script for the first 4 minutes of a press
01:31conference is the way to accomplish that. I don't think
01:33that he showed that he was that quick on his feet and I don't
01:37think the answers were that consistent. It was not a good
01:40day for a guy that I have a lot of respect for. I don't think
01:42he handled that well and I'm not sure the bulls handled this
01:45trade deadline as well as they could have and the way that
01:47many expected. This is a team still running in place. Well
01:52said.
