September & July führt eine Familie auf einen ungewöhnlichen Urlaubstrip. Die junge September wird vorübergehend ihrer Schule verwiesen. Ihre Schwester July sucht nach ihrer eigenen Unabhängigkeit. Auf einem gemeinsamen Ausflug nach Irland steigt plötzlich die Spannung innerhalb der Familie, als eine Reihe surrealer Begegnungen alle Beteiligten an ihre Grenzen treibt.
