Stranger pays family's breakfast bill and leaves heartfelt note praising dad

Dr. J Mack Slaughter was brought to tears when a stranger paid his family’s £68.57 ($85.21) bill at Mimi’s Cafe in Fort Worth, Texas, and left a heartfelt message on the receipt.

The retired Army medic wrote: “Thank you for being a great dad” and praised him for his devotion to his children.

The emergency physician said the random act of kindness restored his faith in humanity, adding: “Despite all the bad in the world, there’s so much good, too.”
