00:00I'm in Gaza City in the north of Gaza and I actually spent the day today driving around
00:04here and further north up in Jabalia speaking to families about their situation
00:10and many families had seen this news and did have quite strong reactions to it.
00:15I actually had one mother say to me families in Gaza like everywhere in the world are deeply
00:20connected to the place where they're born, raised and have been living all their lives.
00:24This is our home and many people had a similar sentiment of
00:28we've just returned here after 15 months of being separated often from their loved ones or from
00:34their land and they wanted to come back. They want to rebuild and resettle and restart their lives
00:40there and many of them are doing that. Today I spent time with a family who were building next
00:46to the rubble of their destroyed home in what used to be their garden. They're pitching a tent
00:50and I hope they've got it up in time because it's very wet here now this evening. It's cold and
00:54windy and I think without shelter in Gaza tonight will be miserable.
