00:00How impressive has Archie Gray been coming into this side, playing out of position, still
00:27delivering top performances in the top flight? What does it say for his future and the mark
00:32he's already made on the club?
00:35He's been absolutely imperious. I'd go as far to say he's a generational talent. I was
00:42at the stadium last week against Ellsbourgh and he just never put a foot wrong. He really
00:47does look a class act. He reads the game so well and, as you rightly say, he's played
00:51in every position on the pitch practically by his own, which is the holding midfield
00:55We've only seen him there for 30-40 minutes the whole season. He's played right-back,
01:00he's played left-back, he's filled in at centre-back. Against Brentford, he was absolutely
01:06magnificent. You see flashes of his ability to read the game, but also to carry the ball
01:13out as well. He's got such skill, he's very, very composed. He's had a couple of tough
01:17moments where he's not quite pushed out quick enough with the high line and he's been playing
01:22players onside, but he's not a natural centre-back. That's not to say he might become one because
01:28he's been very, very good there. I think we're seeing not only a future England international,
01:33I'd go as far to say we're seeing a future Tottenham captain. If we can hang on to him,
01:38he could be the bedrock of Tottenham for the next 10 years and beyond because he's really,
01:42really magnificent. I think there's a lot of talk that he's becoming a natural leader
01:46in the dressing room. You saw how humble he is with the fans there at Tamworth a few weeks
01:51ago in the FA Cup with the young lad and his boots and exchanging the scarf. He just looks
01:57like he's come from a very good footballing family. He's had a great grounding at Leeds and
02:02he's already establishing himself as a really, really important player for Spurs at 18 years
02:07old. I think the benefit of bringing Kevin Danso in and possibly another means that now
02:14we can hopefully move him into midfield and we can really build that team around him because,
02:18as I say, he's such an exciting talent. Thank goodness we got that deal done in the summer.
02:23That was a real plus for us in terms of the transfer window then.
02:28Obviously, after all the negative surrounding Spurs this season, has the young players just
02:33been that shining light? That's something that you can hold on and if you are to look back on
02:38this season, if he needs to go trophalless, for example, you can say it was a big building block
02:43in terms of the future of these younger players. It's a huge experience, isn't it? You probably
02:49learn more in the face of adversity than you do if you're winning every week, don't you? That's
02:52certainly been the case for Spurs in the last two or three months. Like you say, Archie Gray,
02:56Luke Spurgvall, you'd even throw the likes of Jed Spence into there. Jed Spence, lots and lots of
03:03fans have been wondering why three managers have been in charge when Jed Spence has been at the
03:07club and he's never seen the light of day. You see him again against Brentford, absolutely
03:14superb performance, playing at left-back, he was getting forward, he pretty much marked
03:18him out in the game. He's done the same to Salah when we played Liverpool, really, really strong
03:23performances. He's an exciting talent to get him back on the right-hand side and challenge Poro
03:28for that right full-back position when Adobe comes back. The future's definitely bright there for Jed
03:33Spence. You've got the young goalkeeper, Kinski's coming, first clean sheet in the Premier League.
03:38He's had a decent start, obviously a couple of wobbles here and there. And then you've got Mikey
03:43Moore, who scored his first goal for Spurs in the Europa League. His experience has been invaluable
03:49to him. He's shown flashes of just what a talent he's going to be this season. I think, to be fair
03:54to Ang, he's got to manage these players very, very carefully. We've thrown Graeme Burgvall in,
03:59he's been a little bit more cautious with Mikey Moore and I think that's right. You've got to
04:03manage him, he's 17 years old. But the future is certainly bright and you'd add one or two
04:09others to that. I mean, the likes of Jamie Donnelly out on loan at Leighton Orient,
04:12he's having a terrific run there. So, yes, certainly a shining light in the season has
04:18been the young players. In a lot of ways, they've perhaps shown some of the more senior
04:24members of the Spurs squad how it's done, really. So, read into that what you will,
04:27in terms of the senior players at Tottenham.
