00:00This new album is like a new Nicky Jam.
00:02Nicky Jam has changed his record label and we have the exclusive interview and announcement.
00:08Nicky, you are switching record labels after a long time with Sony.
00:13So where are you going first of all?
00:15I'm going to Virgin Records.
00:17I went with my gut.
00:18I thought it was the best move to do.
00:20I have too much respect for Afo, the president of Sony Records, Sony Latin Records.
00:28It's just sometimes you feel like you have to move.
00:30It's nothing personal.
00:32It's a mix of business and something that I just felt in my gut that it was the best move to do.
00:39I'm very spontaneous and it's just the way I am.
00:44I could say I'm a bohemian.
00:49I take my luggage and I go wherever I have to go.
00:52It's just the way I am.
00:53What were they offering you that you liked or what did they bring to the table that you liked?
00:57Family-wise, their whole team and the creative part.
01:02This corporate way of coming out with music could kill the buzz of the music, the momentum of the music.
01:09You have to wait four, five, six months to come out with a single.
01:13With these people at Virgin, I don't have to wait.
01:16If I feel that a song is going to be a hit in a moment, they are not going to mess with my creative part.
01:22They are going to say, go ahead, come out.
01:25That's the way Bad Bunny works. That's the way Fade works.
01:34I still work with Sony.
01:36Even if there's no contract, I still call them.
01:40We still do stuff. We're still working on campaigns.
01:43Like the ten years of El Perdón.
01:46X is popping again and we're doing a campaign to maintain that.
01:52We have a good relationship, so I like it like that.
01:54What is your first release under your new deal?
01:57It's going to be the 28th of this month, February.
01:59Okay, the last day of the month.
02:01Can we have the title?
02:04Or not yet?
