00:00Good afternoon, cruisers. I am Dan Klein, executive editor of Come Cruise With Me,
00:04the most read cruise website in the world. There, I said it. That is
00:09comecruisewith.com or comecruisewith.me. I am at the beautiful, perfect day at
00:14Coco Cay and sweating a little. We've been here for a while. There's a lot of
00:17sun, but the last time we were here it was like 68 degrees. Today it's like 82
00:22and absolutely perfect. I'm with Dennis Post. Dennis is our travel agent partner
00:26with Postcard Travel Planning and he can book all of your needs. So if you
00:31want to make an appointment with Dennis' wife Amy, just go to our website. Any
00:34story pretty much has her phone number or the ability to make an appointment
00:39right with her. But we're gonna talk today about everything you can do at
00:43Coco Cay for free. I know there's a lot of complaints of, oh there's a beach club,
00:46there's a water park, there's an adult area. I want it to be like it used to be.
00:50Everything should be 1972. Here's the reality. If you want an old-school
00:55experience, Dennis, what do they offer here for free? So a lot of this place is
01:00for free. It's off to our left here on the main part of the beach. When you come
01:04in to the left, that's all free. Beach, you got beautiful recliners, the swim-up
01:09pool, which is the Oasis pool. All of that's free. All the stands out there, the
01:14buffet, chill grill, all the little pubs and little venues along there. So you've
01:21got multiple beaches. You've got the beach facing where the ships go out and
01:24then on the other side of us here you have like an enclosed lagoon. It's
01:28mostly families with little kids because the water is absolutely still and one of
01:32the complaints is, oh I can't find a chair. Well here's the answer. I was here
01:36last October with some friends on Independence of the Seas and we couldn't
01:39find a chair. The answer is go to South Beach and keep walking. Eventually you
01:44will get to a point, no matter how many people are here, that there are chairs.
01:47Now your drink package from the ship works. That's a massive advantage that
01:51Royal Caribbean has over Carnival because on Carnival Island you actually
01:54have to pay extra. The free food here is very good. I don't actually think you
01:59need to pay for anything except if it's a little bit cold and you're an adult, if
02:04you're over 18, you might want to pay for Hideaway Beach because it's a really
02:07nice pool, a big wraparound swim-up bar. It's covered. It has a little bit of
02:13elevated food but mostly the pool is heated. Dennis, anything else, any other
02:17advice you have for people here? Yeah and there's something for everything. If
02:21you come with the kids, they've got a pirate ship as soon as you get on the
02:24island, but they have this water park. We were here about 10 months ago with our
02:28grandkids and unbelievable, they didn't want to leave. For four hours they never
02:32left and I'm talking about a supersized water park. Little kids all the
02:36way up to 10 and 12 are gonna have a blast there. Like Dan said, beaches
02:40everywhere all around this island, plenty of chairs. And that's the free
02:43water park. There's also the largest paid water park in the Caribbean, which it
02:48depends on the price whether it's worth it. My son's done it a few times and when
02:51it's really hot out, the slides are a little bit warm. They're a little bit
02:54claustrophobic, but we are a perfect day at Coco Cay. He is Dennis Post. I am Dan
02:59Klein. Come cruise with me soon.
