00:00Jay Glazer. Good to see you, my friend. It's always great to see you every year at the Super Bowl.
00:04Listen, let's... Did I meet you at... My first Super Bowl was here in New Orleans in the 95 season.
00:11I was here then. I was here before that even. I'm so old I was at the 85 Bears blowout at the
00:17Patriots at the Super Bowl. I think I was working for a sports fan radio network. Yes. No, no.
00:21Doing stuff, right? But I met you then and then we became better friends through Big Daddy
00:26and his golf tournament in Strong Island at the Castle and everything else. Let's start
00:32with what's important though. Your marriage, your wedding. Last year you were getting married
00:38and then I saw you get married. Then I saw your honeymoon. Literally, it was like in living color
00:45in Italy, right? You were in Italy or somewhere. The Amalfi Coast, everything else. I saw the
00:50whole thing. You guys look marvelous. Thank you, man. It was awesome. You look so happy.
00:55I haven't seen you that happy since you broke a story. No doubt about it. That's the thing.
01:01She's changed my life. She's beautiful. She's changed my life and she's an identical twin.
01:05The crazy part is she and her sister were the Doubleman twins. I knew that. The Tennyson twins.
01:10They filmed the commercial right behind the hotel that I'm staying in for the Super Bowl. It's
01:15pretty cool. In the French Quarter? No, no. It's right on the Riverwalk. Oh, all right.
01:19Yeah. But man, she's changed my life. For me, we've talked about mental health. We're going to
01:25talk some here today. For all these years before her, I screwed up every relationship I ever had
01:32because you don't feel worthy of being loved. The pain of when something's going to end
01:38is worse than it ending. You make everything end because you have control over it.
01:43Because I've started to come out and talk about all my mental health stuff and because I have
01:46all these new resources, it's the first time in my life I've
01:51not sabotaged something. I've tried it at times. Doesn't that feel fantastic and free?
01:56Yeah. She won't let me, but she also... I've never seen you smile so much.
02:00It's incredible. I say to her, when I have my melt... Listen, I'm a work in progress. I've got
02:04ADHD, bipolar, depression, anxiety. It's not like it goes away. I just know that I better...
02:11Manage it. Right. But with her,
02:13she says to me, what do you need? And I'm like, make sure I know you're not going to go anywhere.
02:18So when I have my meltdowns, she'll go, hey, I'm not going anywhere. I got you.
02:22How'd you guys fall in love?
02:24I met through my assistant who did Price is Right with her. This girl...
02:28Great show.
02:29Yeah. And so my wife was the first black model for Frederick's of Hollywood.
02:35Her twin was the first ever black playmate.
02:37I mean, she's smoking. Your wedding pictures were just ridiculous. If I were you,
02:42you guys look so beautiful there in Italy. I wouldn't have come home.
02:45Oh, trust me.
02:46I mean, I know you're pretty in LA, but you looked way better in Italy.
02:49I didn't want to come home.
02:50I was so jealous. So let's talk about superness and what's happening with ADHD now. And I know
02:57a lot of people that have it and that have struggled with it. I know my kids have dealt
03:03with it and OCD and all these things. And they're all difficult to deal with, especially for kids
03:12and everything. You've teamed up with these people. And I'm guessing this new drug that
03:18they're...
03:18Kelbree, right? Yeah.
03:19...is making a difference.
03:20Huge. So here's the thing. I got diagnosed with ADHD back in 1989. And I was told back then,
03:26growing up, I had a learning disability. I have a learning disability. I just didn't
03:29learn the way you teach. Clearly, I don't have a learning disability. I just can't sit through
03:33anything I'm not interested in for more than two minutes.
03:35Me neither.
03:36Right. We don't have the attention span. And I think ADHD is more prevalent now because our
03:40attention spans drop because of our cell phones and our...
03:42I clearly have it.
03:43Absolutely.
03:44I have it.
03:45And I try and explain it to people. And when I got put on meds back in 89, the meds I got put on,
03:51which were stimulants, with my bipolar and depression were not...
03:55Working.
03:56No, they were not good for me or anybody else. They were not safe for me and everybody else.
04:01It led to a lot of darkness. But because I talk so much about mental health now,
04:05this drug Kelbree got brought to me and to non-stimulants...
04:08When did that come out?
04:10I signed with them, I think, two or three years ago,
04:12but I used it for three months before I ever said yes.
04:15Right.
04:16I actually take it at night. So think about the other drugs out there. I take this at night.
04:20Right.
04:21It definitely settles me down. But also, I talk to sports teams now, and I try and describe
04:28ADHD. And what it is, I said, if you're in something where you're not interested,
04:33it's like you're drowning. And my only breath of fresh air in the past was to disrupt the class,
04:39to fidget, to draw, to not...
04:41To be the class clown, to be a smart ass.
04:43Do you think I want to get grounded every week?
04:44No.
04:44But I wasn't able to...
04:45I was grounded every week.
04:47But I knew the ramifications...
04:48I'm still grounded every week. I'm still in trouble every week.
04:51You know, the ramifications that you can't stop it. I tell coaches,
04:55as much as you could, like your players, you think they want to get fined? No,
04:58we're not able to, we're not capable.
05:00Is this stuff like...
05:01This stuff, it...
05:02But is it making you like...
05:04It's not enough...
05:06Is it making you like doing this stuff more than reporting on the NFL? Because
05:12you seem so into it now that you're going to teams and you're speaking out and helping people
05:16and making a difference in people's lives. That way, let's face it, at the end of the day,
05:21football doesn't matter. It's cool. It's very entertaining. It's an escape. It's fun. It's
05:26cool. We all love it. The world loves it. America loves it. It's their favorite sport.
05:31But what you're doing here for people and for others, for their lives, for their mental health,
05:37is it getting you off more than being a reporter?
05:40By far, because one of the things that helps me with my depression is being of service.
05:44And doing this is being of service, right? Plus also like having teams help me. Well,
05:49this spreads my team out. It makes us teammates. And there's like, I tell people like,
05:53there are people like, so on the way over here, I feared that I was going to struggle. I'm great
05:59in chaos. So that's, I've also tried to figure out where these things help me. Anxiety. I'm
06:03great in a cage. I'm great on TV. I suck in com, okay?
06:06Right. I know you're a fighter too.
06:08ADHD, man. I can't sit in a three-hour lecture, but I can do...
06:11Do you think you could just snap my neck right now if you wanted to,
06:14like pretty much with all your training, like that you could literally snap my neck?
06:17I would. I'm a man of love now.
06:18You love me, but you could pick me up, superplex me, the people's elbow, and then snap my neck.
06:23I probably could.
06:24Let me ask you quickly. I've got one minute.
06:26Please.
06:27So I'm on the way over here, and I was afraid I was going to struggle here. I FaceTimed Michael
06:31Phelps, because that's my battle buddy. And he's like, I got you. I got you. Anytime you're here
06:35today, you struggle, you FaceTime me. So that's what I'm saying.
06:37He's been through a lot.
06:38Yes. But by talking about it, you're saying, is it fulfilling?
06:41You think he's got enough gold medals? You think he's got enough gold medals, that guy?
06:45But what he's doing now for the rest of the world too is better than anything.
06:48He's got more medals than all these football players.
06:51Mahomes going to get another one? Get another ring?
06:53I know what he's done, but I know what he can't do.
06:55Yeah.
06:55I think the Eagles have the better roster, but that dude over there, it's like Brady.
06:59I can't tell. He wins. That's what he does.
07:01But listen, I'm super happy for you that you're so happy in your marriage.
07:06You're feeling better. Your mental health's better.
07:08I'm smiling now.
07:09I'm glad that you're doing this stuff with ADHD.
07:11It's never too late, man. It took me 54 years to really find love.
07:15So tell Big Daddy, because he's helping me with a project.
07:20We need celebrities to help us with this. We're going to force you to do it too.
07:23So tell him Pharrell was looking for him. I love you. It's good to see you, Jay.
