00:00I'm a season ticket holder of the Steelers and I grew up in Pittsburgh. I went to high school,
00:07even though I'm older than you, I went to Mount Lebanon High School and when I was there they
00:11won four state Whippeal football championships and I've been going to Steeler games for 55 years.
00:18I went to every Steeler Super Bowl, all eight of them. My dad used to run U.S. Steel and I
00:27got the luxury, I was lucky enough as a kid to go to every Super Bowl with them,
00:31including Tulane Stadium and I went to your Super Bowl at Ford Field in the snowstorm
00:38that everybody thought the refs were on the take for the Steelers, even though I know you enjoyed
00:43that day as much as I did and I didn't care about the snowstorm, but I not only saw you win a ring,
00:50I've watched your son play almost every game of his career because I live in New York City,
00:56but I fly home to Pittsburgh for every game. Right on. How do you like them apples? Man,
01:01awesome. Like your true yinzer? A real yinzer, bro. You haven't left your roots at all? Not at
01:06all. So you're one of the people that I can actually have conversation with that understands
01:09the psychotic fan of a Steeler fan, like why we're different, why playing in Pittsburgh
01:15means so much more and we're judged different than every other city. So a guy said to me,
01:21argued with me that the six Super Bowl trophies don't matter anymore because they don't win them
01:28anymore. I said, you have no idea what you're talking about. We hang our hats on those six
01:33and we live by a different standard in Pittsburgh. We want to win it every year. There's nothing
01:38short of excellence there. That's all they live for. You don't know what you're talking about.
01:42And he argued with me and argued with me. I was like, are you kidding me? You must be stupid.
01:45He's not from Pittsburgh. Of course not. That's the whole thing because if they were,
01:50they'd know how different it is with us, how the whole city shuts down when you lose a game.
01:55I mean, everybody, everybody gets depressed. Depressed all the way to Friday. Babies aren't
01:59born. Yeah. No one goes to work. Schools are empty. They don't understand how serious it is.
02:06It's crazy. So I'm like, man, are we spoiled? Yes. Are we going to win over nine games every year?
02:13Yes. That's crazy. But like, is it good? Yeah, it's cool. But we probably have a championship.
02:19So it looks like we're not happy because when we don't go to the Super Bowl, we're not happy.
02:23That's just reality.
