00:00To the battle over the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni court hearing, both sides are claiming victory.
00:08And we may have a little better understanding now of why that is, but Blake Lively's side,
00:15people close to her, are talking about how this has impacted her and her family.
00:22We know that Justin and his family went on vacation last week. They were in Hawaii,
00:26looking very relaxed. And then Blake and Ryan Reynolds are now on vacation.
00:33And I'm not saying they did this as a response to that, but they certainly, they posted some
00:38photos from their vacation, not clear on where they are, but certainly seeming relaxed, right?
00:44We're okay, too, trying to give off that same, we're not bothered by this vibe.
00:48You know what's really interesting about that? Clearly, this is all PR. I mean,
00:51this is what's going on here on both sides. In a way, it's tough to do it,
00:55because you want to smile. On the other hand, you're alleging that it has crushed me emotionally
01:00in the lawsuit and all of those things. And the smile belies that. And so it's confusing
01:07to people who are trying to reconcile the two things, even though you can, it creates that
01:13confusion. Yeah. So what I'm hearing is that they're on vacation, they needed to get away,
01:18but they're zapped. This has been going on now since the start of the movie, when all this
01:23unfolded and it's still happening right now. That said, Blake has a lot of confidence in the facts.
01:29She feels the facts are on her side and that what Baldoni is bringing in the countersuit
01:34is a sideshow. And she is more than ready for her day in court, whether it be next week
01:39or next year in March, she is prepared. It's not going to happen. There's not going to be a trial,
01:45guys. The court date is March of 2026. And the most absurd thing is this thing yesterday that
01:52happened, that the judge said, we're going to enforce the rules of professional responsibility,
01:56which isn't even a court thing. It's a state bar thing. And we're going to say you can't say
02:00things publicly that prejudice the jury. Right. This judge, which is what which is what Blake
02:05had been requesting. Right. This side had been requesting that. But that's they've been asking
02:11the judge to stop Brian Friedman from saying things that they felt, at least that her side felt
02:16was was prejudicial. A jurors. She worked with The New York Times on that story,
02:23which would have prejudiced the jury. Be everything that comes out of a lawyer's mouth
02:31is not to show the truth. It's to influence the public and possibly influence a jury.
02:37I taught this in law school at several law schools. Well, I taught professional responsibility.
02:42It's a ridiculous rule. Everything is designed to prejudice. Well, that's the way the law.
02:49That's the way these sides feels like they got what they wanted because the judge said,
02:53you must stick to this rule that I know you're saying. And Brian Friedman, Justin's lawyer,
02:59says we won because there's no gag order on me and I'm going to still say what I want to say.
03:03And I don't think you're ever going to find out who won this case at all because it is
03:07never going to go to trial. Hmm.
03:09Scary story from Parker, Arizona. So I'm glad that they're smiling and on vacation,
03:15but honestly, I don't think it's going to last. They have a huge legal battle against
03:20Justin Baldoni and that man, he is coming with receipts. Honestly, I'd like to be
03:26a fly on the wall just to hear their conversation. And honestly, I'm glad the judge.
03:33They that he quashed their gag order and that it didn't work.
03:36Can I interrupt you for a second? That's all fine and good. That's an awesome sculpture.
03:41I knew you were going to point out the bus. No, it's a cross between Julius Caesar and
03:46James Dean. And I like it and I like it with my boyfriend's fathers and he painted it and
03:53he's had it for years. I love it.
04:02Yeah.
