00:12features of inside the airport terminal, which is expected to open later this year. The video
00:18includes shots of the security area, which will have brand new state-of-the-art security
00:23equipment, and also the boutique mall area, which will have some very popular well-known
00:29brands including Chanel and Fevertree. A full list of these were announced last year, and
00:35this stage of the development is expected to be open later this year, although Manchester
00:41Airport have yet to confirm. We've got the video for you now, so you can have a first
00:46look at what the new terminal will look like.
00:50Welcome to your new Terminal 2 East, completing Phase 2 of Manchester Airport's Ā£1.3 billion
01:02transformation programme. As you enter Terminal 2 East, you'll start your journey at the new,
01:09bright and spacious Terminal 2 Check-in. Extending the fabulous look and feel we created through
01:14the first phase of our transformation, the Check-in Hall will have the latest self-service
01:19technology. The new Security Hall features 10 new security lanes fitted with next-generation
01:253D scanners. Passengers will go through security, then head up the escalators to arrive in the
01:32Orientation Zone, where you will find shops like Travelex, WHSmith and the local artist
01:38and coffee brand, Grindsmith. Passengers will then walk through World Duty 3, where
01:44you'll be greeted with all your favourite brands and products. After this, passengers
01:51will then enter our new boutique mall. Overlooking here, you can see our fantastic extended Amber
01:56Alehouse bar. It will also feature a range of luxury, high-end brands such as Jo Malone,
02:03Tom Ford, Le Labo and our very first Chanel store. To complement this, we're welcoming
02:09our first ever statement cocktail and champagne bar, Fevertree. The new Terminal 2 East will
02:17connect into the existing Terminal 2 International Departure Lounge, here, near Boots. Then,
02:27down the avenue, our high-street style shopping strip, featuring Starbucks and Lego, Rituals,
02:37Pandora and a World Duty Free Express. On the south side, there are even more great
02:47food options, including the Great Northern Market, with 475 seats and featuring six international
02:55street food kitchens, including a gooey dessert unit. And we'll be opening our very first
03:03Wetherspoon, which will be a sports-themed bar. There will also be additional seating
03:09for passengers to enjoy those impressive airfield views. New to Manchester, for a healthy
03:27option, we have Joe and the Juice. Plenty more seating and upper crust for those freshly
03:39baked baguettes. And an additional special assistance area, which leads us back to Apery,
03:47our luxury artisan bar and eatery. Our brand new Pier 2 will mirror the look and feel of
03:54Pier 1 and provide 13 new flexible aircraft stands and modern boarding gates. The modernisation
04:01of the airfield will increase the capacity and optimise the airport's dual runway operation.
04:07And the transformation of our landside facilities, with the building of a new link road called
04:11Sydney Avenue, will provide better access to and from the airport. Your new Terminal
04:172 will revolutionise the colleague and customer experience and connect the north to even more
