00:00Welcome to the Guardian Women Festival, where we'll be celebrating women who mean business.
00:18Join us for a day of empowering workshops and invaluable networking opportunities.
00:23You'll be hearing from inspiring leaders, industry experts, those who are shaping the
00:28future of business.
00:31Term women mean business, I would see that as a woman who is focused and who is determined.
00:36And any woman that is focused and determined, there's absolutely nothing that cannot achieve
00:41as long as she's put her mind to it, and I'm that woman.
00:44Women in my industry have been around for a while, and most of them are already fully
00:48grounded in the industry.
00:50There are many women who are producers, directors, not just actresses, but you know, they also
00:56have casting managers as well, and they're all women.
01:01It's been a very positive light.
01:02I mean business to close the care gap here in Nigeria, especially because I truly believe
01:08that care is the engine to catalyze in our economy when we can provide that care infrastructure
01:15that families need, whether it's providing affordable child care.
01:1958% of women MSMEs in Africa and in Nigeria are owned by women.
01:23Term mean business for me means changing the narrative that women are nano and micro
01:28businesses to women are small, medium, and even large businesses.
01:32This year's International Women's Day invites us to challenge ourselves as women in the
01:37way that we show up and in the way that we create change in our society.
01:41If I think about other women in coaching, my greatest insight, advice, or counsel is
01:48to become data-driven.
01:49We have homegrown data and homegrown wisdom in Nigeria and across the continent of Africa
01:55in the way that we understand African women and the unique needs that they have, even
02:00African institutions.
02:04Connect with like-minded women and expand your network.
02:09Don't miss this opportunity to expand your network, grow, and be inspired.
02:16And you already know that Friday, the 14th of March, 2025, is the biggest women's event
02:24ever.
02:25It is the Guardian Women Festival, and we have seven Wonder Women Awards.
02:31And the theme of the festival is Women in Business!
