00:00Hi everyone, you may have heard by now the announcement that after nearly 44 years I have left Channel 9.
00:07I made that decision last year because I felt it was time to move to the beat of a different drum,
00:15my own. I have had the most extraordinary life, telling wonderful stories,
00:22working with brilliant people and an audience that,
00:26thank you, you have hung in there with me.
00:28And I'm hoping that you'll still hang around because I'm not going anywhere.
00:33I'm still passionate about telling stories and I plan to tell many more.
00:39That includes a book I have coming out in May about a great Australian character,
00:45Outback astronomer Trevor Barry.
00:48So this is not goodbye.
00:49This is the beginning of what I see as a great new and exciting chapter in my life.
