00:08On December 18th, Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to share a carousel of behind-the-scenes
00:13photos from the wrap party for Taylor's Eras tour. And before you could say, shake it off,
00:18fans were sharing zoomed-in screenshots that seemed to show something funky going on with
00:23Taylor's fingers. One of the photos shows Taylor, Brittany, and Lindsey Bell posing
00:28for the camera with their drinks held high. Nothing strange about that, but if you look
00:32closer, there may or may not be a conspicuous blur on the fourth finger of Taylor's left
00:38hand.
00:39The response was, dare we say it, swift. Did Travis Kelce finally pop the question? Was
00:44the pic photoshopped to hide an engagement ring until they were ready to share the news
00:47with the world? Fans have chimed in with their own opinions, with some saying that the picture
00:51was clearly altered, and others suggesting that that first group of fans is just grasping
00:56at straws.
00:57One person wondered why Taylor wouldn't have just taken the ring off rather than go through
01:01all the trouble of editing photos later. In a direct message shared to Page Six, the fan
01:05who sparked the rumors replied,
01:07"...because wearing an engagement ring after getting engaged at a party celebrating you
01:11sounds like the most perfect night ever."
01:13Indeed, the party reportedly doubled as a birthday bash for Taylor, who turned 35 on
01:18December 13th. So if she really did say yes to the dress, an engagement ring would be
01:23something you'd definitely want to flaunt. And even though it was definitely Taylor's
01:27night, Travis Kelce factored into the decor in more ways than one.
01:32Another eagle-eyed fan noticed that Taylor's friendship bracelet that was visible in some
01:36of the photos may have been dedicated to Kelce. It's hard to tell, but two of the visible
01:40letters on the bracelet appear to be a C and an E. You know, the last two letters in Kelce.
01:46Is this all just rampant, unwarranted speculation? It's very possible. This wouldn't be the first
01:51time fans imagined wedding belts for the couple. They've been swatting away engagement rumors
01:56since they made their relationship public in 2023.
01:58You know what? Someone actually reached out to me today and said that they might actually
02:02be engaged.
02:03In October 2024, some of the rumors got so much traction that an inside source had to
02:08reach out to TMZ to clarify that they were, in fact, false. The source blamed the speculation
02:13on overzealous fans and added,
02:16"...two days ago everyone had decided they were broken up. Now they're allegedly secretly
02:20engaged. It's whiplash-inducing."
02:22To be fair, though, you can't put all the blame on fans for this recent wave of gossip.
02:27In a recent issue of Us Weekly, a source who claimed to be close to the couple said that
02:31Taylor would, quote, "...love to be engaged, but wants to wait until the time is right."
02:36Another source said,
02:37"...Taylor does feel like Travis is the one, but jumping in is not her style."
02:42Call us crazy, but the lull at the end of a record-breaking, globe-spanning tour doesn't
02:46seem like the worst timing. And Kelsey did recently hint that he's ready to hang up his
02:51helmet and retire from football.
02:53"...I don't know if it's the last time I'll ever play in Cleveland, but it kind of felt
02:57like I was giving it one last hoorah."
02:59So who knows? Maybe those Swifties who think he already proposed are onto something after
