China has retaliated against Donald Trump’s new US tariffs by launching an anti-trust investigation into Google and imposing 15% tariffs on coal and LNG, along with 10% tariffs on crude oil, farm equipment, and vehicles from the US. Additionally, China has placed export controls on critical minerals essential for technology and manufacturing, further escalating trade tensions. Two US firms, PVH Group (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) and Illumina Inc, have also been added to China’s unreliable entity list, restricting their operations.
