00:00Yes, so let me just walk you through the rest of the first phase and then how the second
00:04phase could look like.
00:06What we're expecting, none of this is confirmed at this stage, is that we will see three more
00:10Israeli hostages released by Hamas in Gaza on Saturday, then a week later the next Saturday
00:16three more, and then at some point before the end of February, before the first of March,
00:21which is when phase one expires, the rest of the total of 33 Israeli hostages being
00:27released and in exchange getting up to that number of 1,900 Palestinian prisoners who
00:33are being released in exchange for those 33 Israeli hostages in total.
00:39Then when we get on to phase two, really the central planks of that are that the remaining
00:44hostages held in Gaza will be released and at the same time Israeli troops will have
00:50to completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
00:53But look, we have to stress here, there is absolutely no guarantee that the two sides
00:58move on from phase one to phase two.
01:00I mean just politically speaking here in Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu is in a very tough position
01:06because one of his far-right coalition partners, the finance minister Bezalel Smotrich, has
01:11threatened in the past that he will leave that coalition, take away Benjamin Netanyahu's
01:17governing majority as a result, if Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't go back to fighting Hamas
01:22in Gaza.
