00:00Not a lot of details out there about this meeting between Netanyahu and the US Special
00:05Envoy for the Middle East, but what we believe is going on is really that they're just preparing
00:10the ground ahead of that all-important, closely watched meeting between the two leaders, Netanyahu
00:16and Trump, on Tuesday.
00:18Remember that this is now the 16th day of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and
00:24that means that, according to the agreement, negotiation talks are supposed to start in
00:29terms of how to move from this first phase of the agreement into the second phase.
00:34What we've been hearing from the Israeli Prime Minister's office is that they see this meeting
00:39between Netanyahu and Witkoff as really the start of that process.
00:44They then say, we've not had any confirmation of this from the American side, that Witkoff
00:48will speak later in the week with Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
00:53Before then, at some point, the Israelis will agree to sending an actual delegation to take
00:59part in physical talks.
01:01We believe, once again, those talks could happen in Qatar, as they did to arrange the
01:07first phase, the initial agreement between Hamas and Israel.
