00:20I'm kidding, it wasn't in honor of him.
00:21It was a complete attack on him
00:24for being one of the artists who performed
00:26during Inauguration Weekend.
00:28I used to like Nelly, but then he went to perform.
00:31And y'all, I'm with my family.
00:35Ain't nobody gonna hate on us.
00:37And I'm gonna put back, like, I don't give a.
00:40You so now, I used to think you was cool,
00:42but now you look like food.
00:44Going up to the inauguration to participate with some.

01:01This is why the Democrats lost the election.

01:06That there was so much shaming going on when,
01:10and look, I get it.
01:12And there are a lot of things that Trump is doing
01:14that are really alarming to a lot of people.
01:16The reason.
01:17But let me just make my point that, you know,
01:20when you start shaming people for what they believe in,
01:24I mean, assuming he's doing it not because,
01:28oh, I think Trump has racist views and I'm gonna embrace.
01:30He said he did it because it was a gig
01:31and he was honored to do it for the American people.
01:34Right, and when you start shaming somebody
01:37for doing what they do and just shaming them
01:40and going after them, people recoil.
01:43And I think that's one of the big reasons Democrats lost.
01:46But Harvey, the only thing I will say is that
01:47part of the shaming was because some of the people
01:49who performed were people who were very vocally
01:52anti-Trump before and said things
01:54that were clearly anti-Trump.
01:57So it wasn't only, it's not only Democrats
02:00who are shaming those performers.
02:01Even the Republicans are shaming some of those performers.
02:04Well, I get it.
02:05Because it's just so obvious what you're doing.
02:06It was also a different election.
02:08Look, there was somebody on Bill Maher this week,
02:12somebody who's a die-in-the-wool Democrat
02:16who said, I didn't vote because even though I oppose Trump,
02:19I just didn't like Kamala Harris.
02:21And I think there were people in that camp.
02:24So the dynamics were a little bit different.
02:26But I think the reality here is you don't fight
02:30by shaming somebody for what they believe in.
02:33You fight on the merits.
02:34And the Republicans do that too, by the way.
02:37But they're winning because they got Donald Trump.
02:40And I just think this is an example of,
02:43you know, read the room.
02:46I think the room agreed with her.
02:48Well, that room agreed with her.

02:49So she was reading that room.
