00:00As they developed the different artworks for this project, how was that exchange of developing
00:09the artistic directions of the various subjects that we see in the pages of the book?
00:16So, before I reached out to them with the project, explaining what it was going to be,
00:21how I wanted to go about it and things like that, I obviously researched into what it had to be.
00:26So, from my research and from the medical professions that I spoke to, including, like
00:30I said earlier, the head of public health at Harvard, two professors at the University
00:33of Delhi, the pediatric ophthalmologist from Bombay, I knew that the conventions had to
00:39be black, white and shades of grey, basically high contrast, because those are the only
00:43sort of things that newborns can see at that age, because the cortexes that see colour
00:47and shades respectively haven't developed yet.
00:50So, I sort of just explained that to them and then I think it was their creative direction
00:53that guided the pieces.
00:54That's why they're all very different in the way that they are, because it's entirely
00:58up to the artist and their unique style.
