00:00We are in the museum and the circuit of Fernando Alonso, which is an inspiring place by itself alone.
00:08It is an incredible place for all motorsport fans to come here and learn about Fernando's life in motorsport,
00:17which is beautiful and inspiring.
00:19And we are here basically to, in a way, teach the young future generations about different insights about our sport,
00:29like mechanics or if it's engineering, design, you know, just give them a bit of media work of how they should handle
00:38if they are going to basically pursue this path.
00:43There's a stage in the life of any young student that you're really not sure what to do.
00:50And I think that by this educational program from Aranko, what we're trying really is to inspire the next generations
00:58and make sure they have the, you know, they make the correct choices after this.
01:03Inspire them, but also giving them a bit of the insight of what we have gone through, what is needed,
01:09what they will encounter and make them try to pick up the right path for their lives.
01:16It's fantastic to see that we are traveling around the world and we are seeing different young future generations
01:24of different countries, but we're trying to give them the tools as well to make them grow in the professional life
01:33as well as on the educational side.
01:36It's great to see here in Spain a different type of workshop because we have been focusing more on the media work
01:45that we go through, drivers, I am also TV commentating in Spain, so basically how they should get prepared
01:54if they are going to be in the media industry.
01:57So I think the one we did in China was more focused on the engineering side,
02:01so I think it's great to see this different type of workshops happening around the world.
02:07It is very special to be in Spain, especially before the Aranko 2024 Spanish Grand Prix,
02:15because it's not only the Spanish Grand Prix, which is by itself very special for me, but I'm also from Barcelona.
02:22So it's happening in my home city and it's fantastic to see how passionate the Spanish people are about Formula 1.
02:32I lived in an era where Formula 1 was not so well known in Spain.
02:36A lot of people in the street didn't know that the Spanish Grand Prix was happening that week,
02:41let alone on Monday after, they didn't even know that it was happening and I was racing.
02:46Now it's very different, I think that through the decades people have been falling in love with Formula 1,
02:54with motorsport in Spain, and to be part of this Spanish Grand Prix 2024 is in Spain,
03:02with Aranko, with Aston Martin Formula 1, it's very, very special indeed.
03:07Well, the first point is we're making people, the new generations, more curious by just explaining what we do.
03:13And then once they can have an insight of the science and mathematics, the engineering, the technology that is involved in motorsport,
03:22I think that that is the first step in getting them into and interested in our sport.
03:29That's why it's so important to explain the insights of what we're doing, because Formula 1 is a complex world
03:36and you have to be very precise in explaining all the little details of motorsport.
03:43I think it's also very good and very important to have the protagonists, the people that are living in the daily work of Formula 1,
03:52explaining their own experience, because it's by that that you actually get them into what you're doing,
04:00interested and therefore inspired for becoming the future generations.
