Be proactive in empowering agro-food sector, King tells govt in royal address

The agricultural sector and its players must be empowered, says His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.  In his royal address when opening the First Meeting of the 4th Term of the 15th Parliament on Monday (Feb 3), His Majesty urged the government to be proactive in helping smallholders, farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen across the commodity and food supply chain.  Additionally, the King emphasised the need to ensure housing opportunities for all citizens. 00:13and to take proactive actions for farmers in the commodity sector,

00:31The agenda of the Economic Cooperation Agenda through cooperation and support

00:38of government companies must continue to be implemented.

00:46The Government must also continue to be committed to providing opportunities for every citizen

00:57to have a permanent home that they can afford to buy.

01:03The provision of infrastructure, basic facilities, health and education must continue to be added.

01:21The Government must implement the agenda of pro-farming, technical and vocational training,

01:31as well as its development will give birth to a better future generation.

01:45I also support the efforts to strengthen the values of family and social well-being.

02:04Malaysia will continue to strengthen the spirit of cooperation between the government and the state government.
