Firefighters continue to fight blazes in Victoria's west as heatwave conditions grip the state. Victorian authorities confirmed they received reports of property losses from a fire near Ouyen, north of the region's national park, on Sunday night. It is believed two properties have been lost, Premier Jacinta Allan confirmed, as the inferno heads west towards Kaniva-Edenhope Road. Vision courtesy: AAP

00:00Conditions have been very challenging today. The extreme heat, strong northerly
00:05winds has made controlling the fire really challenging. Our firefighters, over
00:11500 firefighters are on the ground today working really hard with interstate
00:15assistance as well and they're working hard to contain these fires. However
00:19those outbreaks have been challenging. We've had multiple aircraft working
00:25including rotary wing helicopters and fixed-wing fire bombers including the
00:29large air tankers working on all three of these fires. As we've seen throughout
00:34the day today that the situation is very dynamic and changing quite rapidly. So
00:39the best way to stay up to date is to look at the Vic Emergency app or the
00:42Emergency Vic website to stay up to date with the most recent information. And
00:47finally I just want to give a big shout out to all the firefighters out there
00:51today. We've got over 500 working really hard to protect their communities. We've
00:56had night shift who are still working through past midday. They're working
01:00really hard. So I just want to do a big shout out to all local Victorian and
01:06interstate firefighters assisting us with these three very difficult fires.
